Just to chime in,

McCollum did a couple of interviews with a BATF agent talking about the process of owning a MG. In that interview Ian asked for the record what would the process be if someone finds an unregistered MG in their attic (or something like that).

The BATF agent stated the law (no new MGs can be added to the registry) and the weapon would most likely be destroyed.

etc. etc. usual BATF bullshit.

Apparently, some spergs decided that Mr. McCollum merely interviewing the BATF agent in a non-hostile way was tantamount to heresy.

Now, because Ian didn't scream Molon Labe at the agent, it must mean that Ian wants to destroy all guns not in the hands of collectors.

TL;DR: Spergs were upset about an interview being informative and not outright hostile.

The amount of connections Ian seems to have successfully forged in the gun making, selling, and collecting communities tells me that he is either VERY good at hiding mongoloid political views or that his views don't fall into the extremist category.

I dunno how accurate this is because I've mostly been skimming, but he strikes me more as a Hunter S. Thompson type of guy. Thompson was a pretty big lefty himself, but he strongly believed in the 2nd Amendment and the right to blow shit up.

They do until they're in power because they recognize the power of an armed populace. That pretty much goes for any such extremists, though.

I've found, and I think you'll agree, that the more fringe someones political views are the harder it is for them to be quiet about it. He may be a big lefty with an interest in niche history but I seriously doubt RIA or shooting ranges where he does patreon meet ups would be associated with someone who is such a Big Lefty that they actually join the Big Lefty version of AtomWaffen. It just ain't good business.
There's also a vid from maybe 4ish years ago where he encourages people to donate to the NRA legal defense fund or whatever its called. Regardless of a leftists position on firearms and firearm history that would be STRANG VERBOTEN. There's just no way they'd give money to the NRA.

You'd be surprised, know several people who are hiding the fact that they have nazi sympathies, but they kinda have to, while with communists I know very few people who've been ostracized for saying the kulaks deserved it

Hunter was a member of the NRA and co-created The Fourth Amendment Foundation to protect people from unwarranted seizures, still was friends with some of the biggest Democratic names but I dunno how much he's loved by the commoners. He also had mongoloid opinions and political views given his apparent worship of Che, but by then all the drugs he did likely fried any semblance of coherency from him. I still want that study on various drugs and their long lasting affect on the psyche.

Anyways, I'm not sure I wholly agree with the idea of people with fringe beliefs not being quiet since history is full of such people being able to adequately hide them for the sake of survival. While true they didn't really have social media plaguing society and making people into attention whores, but a lot of people still flip flop or act to protect their cash cow. I think he's more normie, though, if he's able to hide it for the sake of business.

I knew about Karl and the Satanist thing, while it's a bit out there, I always thought of the Satanist's as being just upmarket goths.

I remember him saying something about taking a producer on, in order to do more historical content and increase production value. I think a lot of people would have pointed out it was a mistake to hire a woman, it increases liability, it makes travel more difficult/expensive. Maybe he thought that since he was shagging her it would be okay.

He's probably a mild liberal type with that kind of live and let live policy most non-TDS liberals have. If he ever did actually say anything about people open carrying with racist T-Shirts he was probably concerned more about the image that projected of open carrying and gun owners in general. Which makes logical sense, nobody enjoys having to tolerate that one faggot that makes a group of reasonable people look decidedly unreasonable.

Actually he made a joke video some time back titled "Race War" that he appears to have taken down. I didn't save it, but the gist of it is him and a buddy hear about a "race war" and arm themselves to the teeth, and then the punchline is they look it up and go "Oh, wait a minute, this is just two groups of people yelling at each other." implying they got all excited and geared up to fight aliens or something. Let me know if someone archived it.

I think that video demonstrates that Ian and his collaborators are very much aware of some elements of their audience and especially the fact that they are popular on places like 4chan.

Take it with a bag of salt since it's purpose-made to get you pissed/laughing at someone. Nobody knows what Karl's previous significant other was, but this is definitely a new squeeze.
There's also the fact that Ian is traveling the world at irregular intervals which limits his ability to appear in episodes, and Karl has been dragging his blogger friend along instead. Said blogger friend(SinistralRifleman) is much better at wrangling Karl and stepping over his sperging than Ian so it makes for improved videos.

I have no real idea if its accurate or not but holy hell its eyeblazing and I can barely make sense of it. If someone wanted to spread rumors about these two they should have made something more easy to read and interpret.

From what I've seen, the cult of personality prohibits much of that info from taking root regardless. They have pictures and video of him doing his LARPing, and then you have idiots coming out of the woodwork to debate the philosophy of even believing in god or how satanists are just libertarians/party animals and that's okay.
Karl's got his own InRange discord channel so any wrongthink on popular or even obscure gun forums can immediately be targeted and shut down.

Honestly the only thing that can end him is just not giving him attention. Remember the "gun nuts post videos on pornhub" thing? He started that and was all over the news... for a month or so. Then he faded into obscurity and got mad.
