There was a post on the lawsuit tread that mentioned how there is case law supporting that Chupp doesn't have to file anything, the way I understood it, the response has to be done if it's a jury case but for a Judge giving a ruling it's not necessary.

The slow (time is relative) descent of loltwitter backtracking on everything, playing the "I was only pretending to be retarded" card, and another inevitable shifting of the goal posts was to be expected. Responding to their "academic discussions about hypotheticals," was apparently based on an entire misunderstanding, calling Vic a pedophile, and all those Vic-stans being labeled as alt-right, incels, and defenders of sexual assault was never intended to come off as an insult or personal attack. And those nick names they gave Screech, Percy and Vig Mangina was just debate in it's purest form.
By this same logic, the fact that Marchi is utilizing a several milliion dollar indiegogo/GFM (can't remember which) is evidence of the lawsuit being meritorious. If it weren't, why would she need such a large funding to draw from in order to fight it?
