you have to pay to shop at a costco?

and he doesn't know why he can't afford shit?

You have to pay an annual fee to shop at any of these "wholesale" bulk places like Costco, BJ's, Sam's Club, et cetera. If you go there once a month, you usually come out ahead anyway, even if you just buy toilet paper and paper towels there.

The weird thing about the Costco in my area is that it is made up of about 25-30% Asian people. That in itself is not weird; it's just that I don't think there's a single other place in my entire city outside of actual Asian shops/restaurants with even a 10% Asian customer rate. I usually wonder if Asian people drive in from other cities just to come to Costco, or maybe just the Asian people in my city only shop at Costco and nowhere else? Anyone else seen this before?

Dude jokes and boasts about abandoning YouTube like its some sinking ship and bitches and moans about losing his ad money on it and why he had to flee to Twitch to keep his livelihood on every stream for 2 hours.

The thing is, and this is probably preaching to the choir, DSP HASN'T abandoned Youtube. If he did, he wouldn't be so pissy about Death Stranding when he couldn't mute the music due to cahpywrite strikes. His autistic screeching during the Madden 2020 intro until it got to the settings where he could mute the music was utterly bizarre.

It's always fascinated me that he muted the music to all his GTA games last year for Youtube sheckles when he could have made more money having a tip/cheer incentive for users to either keep the music on or even to pick the radio station. Instead, he constantly spazzes out about music while saying "Youtube is only an archive dood!"

Anecdotal but Asian people are often stereotyped as cheap (source: an American-born Chinese friend who's parents immigrated from China, talking about them and their Chinese friends) so a place like Costco would appeal to them

I'mma hit you from out of left field. Disgust is most often felt and most often detected by females. There is quite a bit of mainstream psychological backing for this. Now, I'm not saying Dark is a bitch-titted sissy, rather I claim he reflects and magnifies the woman closest to him.

Dark starts out domineering with a need to be right about everything, which may be a reflection of his mother. Moves on to having jugs of gin, drinking at home which could reflect his cousin. Amps up the sarcasm and exhibitionism from the Panda years. And now has become an emotionally volatile , secretive recluse with Khet.
I think there is also something to this on another level. Phil's approach when he was with Leanna to dealing with most trolling was his King of Hate-esque monologues about 'fuck you and you and you'. In the post-Leanna era, we're hearing more of his victim speeches about being disgusted, hurt and betrayed. He has been mentioning the 'positivity' thing for a long time, but he has really doubled down on this, wanting to maintain chill, positive vibes and knowing karma will reward him and hurt his foes.

So I think a lot of what Phil says, sometimes maybe full speeches verbatim, are influenced by what the women in his life say to them when he gets tipsy on gin and cries to them about Tevin. Leanna was bold and crass, and so Phil adopted more of that tone. Kat spouts soothing therapy snippets (possibly from her stint under observation, maybe a little cognitive behavioral therapy), and Phil's mom has long taken the daytime talkshow, Oprah-karma approach.

We've seen how many elements and mannerisms he pilfers from the people in his life (Leanna's laugh, then that is cancelled for Kat's laugh), so I get the impression that some of these speeches aren't really his. Phil spouts them until he really gets fired up, and then when he is ranting during a Minecraft fishing segment and starts really spewing bile about Rambo not being a man and Tevin being a piece of shit - that's the real Phil talking. No positivity and lusting for manly revenge.

Is there an actual chance he gets in trouble for his YT videos after the implementation of the new COPPA policies? There are over 50,000 of them. Is that what we’re hoping for?

The statistical chance that one of them gets flagged under the new rules is relatively high simply due to the sheer frequency but since Phil is incredibly lucky, nothing would come out of it.

From Phil's point of view, there should be nothing transpiring on that front. In actuality? Maybe he gets some blow back on his channel. Even if that happens though, Phil sounds pretty resigned to not caring about it because, it's an archive, the revenue is 1/10th of what it was at the peak since the channel strikes, lack of growth, adpocalypse, and so on and so forth. So it's not impossible something will happen, but I doubt you'll get any salt extraction worth a damn even if and when it does.

Sure he could move to Mixer, but...Mixer has stricter rules, so his lifespan there will be just as short.

What specifically is (are) the major difference(s) in the TOS between the two that you think would trip DSP up there if he was forced to migrate his grift to that site?

Mixer is a lot harder on enforcing their rules compared to Twitch so things like hate speech and harassing people would have actual consequences for Phil.

Mixer has stricter rules about streams with no gameplay being clearly labeled as such. So if he tried to do a prestream in a game category he'd get nailed unless he had it in Talk Shows, and I think he's too lazy to manually switch it each time.

YouTube sent a reminder e-mail to creators that the rule goes into effect on 1/6/20:
View attachment 1088202
It comes down to the creator setting it themselves, and also machine learning (likely to capture videos/channels that haven't been manually set by the creator yet).
There's no way it can just be as simple as the creator saying "No, it's not for kids ;)" right? The circus act that is DSP's Pokémon Sword playthrough can't possibly be considered "not made for kids" can it?

I'd imagine Youtube has a background algorithm going on, and I'd be stunned if they didn't have some kind of whitelist/blacklist thing with games and topic areas to try and tackle things like this.

But doesn't realize that the exact same situation could happen on Twitch. One bad lawsuit. One big Amazon sweeping decision to shut it down. New criteria to maintain partnership. New terms of service. Or he just fucks up and gets permanently banned again. All of that Twitch money disappears.

Sure he could move to Mixer, but not 100% of his audience will follow (too exceptional to make a new account, don't want to give up sub badges/bit badges from other channels they whale out on), and Mixer has stricter rules, so his lifespan there will be just as short.
I've been noting this. These e-beggars like Phil and Wings are way too complacent with where they are. It's unlikely that they can just pick up again with minimal loss like they did from Youtube to Twitch, and I believe they think they can. When Amazon changes how Twitch works, these beggars are FUCKED. I'd guess they'd lose at least 50% of their income, probably more like 75%. Most people are not going to seamlessly change to Mixer or wherever.

This is exactly what was said when Machinima dropped him. Didn't happen. We don't call him the pigroach for nothing. However or whatever you want to chalk it up to, Phil is an expert at surviving on the backs and graces of others. The only way support will fall out from under him all at once is if he says or does something that makes him completely radioactive and, against all reason and good decorum, that hasn't happened yet.

I don't know Wings, but Phil is probably better situated to survive losing a platform than most other streamers. He gets his income from a small number of wheelchairs who are interested in paypigging for him specifically, and they'll probably follow him wherever. It's not like a normal streamer who might have a broad, casual viewerbase that'd fall off if the platform changed.

I dont even think he'd take too big of a hit if he hit a hard r nigger on stream.

It's kinda ironic. The only way I see Phil dying (or at least earning significantly less and ending up quitting being a full-time streamer) is if, well, we don't this thing we're doing every time we post something here in the farms.

I truly believe that if Phil had zero trolls/detractors, people would be far less interested in him, and thus he'd receive far less tips.

Sure, there are the turbo-retards like Papavera who actually enjoy him and will gladly keep giving him tips to watch him play Minecraft. But all the troll tips would vanish. All the "ironic trolls" in his chat who sub to him would vanish. All the people who think they are "trolling the trolls" with tips/subs/cheers would vanish. He'd take a big hit, for sure.

But yeah, as long as we have this "counter-cult" to hate on him, he'll have a cult of retards who will keep him afloat.

Apparently Twitch is enabling a 'hype train' feature where, if you get a certain number of contributions in a time frame (presumably only cheers and subs... so not actually what Phil begs for), a notice will pop up and the 'hype train' begins! To encourage more contributions to keep it going, I guess.

Phil has spent at least 10 minutes talking about this in an extended evening prestream and trying to get it enabled. He's very excited for this, but it doesn't appear to be implemented yet.

Yet again, the pig is jumping on exactly the kind of sellout feature that he used to explicitly shit on. He is also hyping something up called a 'hype' train, after consistently shitting on people who buy into hype.

But I do like that this can be rephrased as 'Phil is asking Derich and Sidella to run a hype train on him' and still be completely accurate.

Tuned in to see him shitting on Tevin and others saying they wouldn't get viewers without restreaming him and then when someone says Tevin gets 800+ viewers not even watching you he decides to stop talking about it.

He was also bitching about subs dropping and some shit about how everyone who restreams him should stop for 2 months and see if they survive. This was all within like 5 minutes of randomly tuning in.

This is gonna be a good detractor video hes on one tonight.

He was also bitching about subs dropping

How the fuck can he bitch about this? I find it hard to believe that Twitch doesn't provide a breakdown of what types of subs he has, which means he knows he had 200+ gifted subs last month. I think he's just mad that he mistimed his subgoal (it's set to 700) such that a big drop happened right after, so instead of needing like 40 subs gifted, he currently needs around 70. Of course, he's just going to piss and moan until one of his tard-whales shows up to gift a bunch.

Survive what? None of them do it full time or for a living as far I can tell....what exactly are they attempting to survive?
Having an audience I guess.

He's just in hardcore bitch mode right now. He's now spent 10 minutes on some $1 tipper(who he named dropped and called a fucking piece of shit) "victim blaming" and Tevin ruining the Halloween stream.

Now thirdeyethethird is making him sound like a complete retard changing what he said 10 minutes earlier.

He also started talking about how much he was bullied in high school, despite lying for years about being a popular guy. He also slammed one of his bullies so hard into the wall he “dented” the wall....find it hard to believe he could do something like that with no repercussions, but I forget this is fantasy time for dark, I’m surprised he didn’t say the entire school applauded him for what he did and carried him around the school on their backs.

I’ve never seen someone so clearly lie about their life like him. He can’t just admit he was some weird loner who got picked on, he’s gotta make sure everyone knows he was also a strong boy who stood up for himself, apparently bullies like continuing to bully a guy that sticks up for themselves....those are known marks for bullies
