A lot of people involved online political discussions and communities are paranoid about "Grifters", or people who come into movements to serve their own ends. These are usually streamers, Youtubers, and podcasters, who become scene celebs of the political sphere they are in. I have observed this fear across the whole political spectrum, from far left to far right, and everywhere else on the horse shoe (you see it less on the center, since centrist politics have the mainstream media to back them up, and it's understood to be corporate fueled, even by the people watching).

These fears are well founded when you realize how easy it is to pull off.
  1. Find movement with a following, ideally one that that people who identify strongly with movement and make it part of their personal identity (Alt-Right, Anarchist, Pro-Trump, Anti-Trump, ect).
  2. Parrot the main talking points, and keep tabs on trends and memes within the sphere. Get the general logic and reasoning of movement down so you can throw out "original ideas" once in awhile. Throw in sportsball like commentary that states the obvious on political events and happenings, so you seem much smarter than you are (Mike Enoch is the master of this).
  3. Have a USP (Unique Selling Point) to standout from the crowd. With the aforementioned Enoch and his gang over at The Right Stuff, their USP is they're raucous sense of humor. Contra Points' is their high production quality, attention to aesthetic, and "Faaabulouuus" persona. JF's USP is being a former academic and neurosurgeon, which gives his opinions more authority. Destiny's brand is being highly confrontational, and OWNING people with FACTS and LOGIC in debates. Vaush is a more left-wing Destiny. This is why people like Pig Puncher flounder, because he is a knock off Vaush, who is a knock off Destiny, and brings nothing new to the table.
  4. Get subs, get adsense, start doing streams for super berries, set up the Patreon
  5. Build up a dedicated cult following around you, find people with less clout and use them as underlings if you are going to do gay ops and get tangled in drama. Even if you want to avoid homosexual operations and drama, it is handy to build a cadre and talent pool around yourself of people who can help you out in the future (Smug Chuckle of Akkad).
  6. ???
  7. Profit!

You may get tangled in a movement who's time has come to pass (Skeptics and Sarkissian era SJWs) or a major schism happens (00's era Atheism). Should this happen, you can pivot if need be. Just be aware drama is going to happen, just don't do anything too retarded (see Kraut) and you should be fine. At this point people will be watching your content for you, as that magic para-social relationship is well in effect. So long as the shift is not too radical, the majority of your loyal followers will come up with copes and rationalizations to keep supporting you.

The model is not that much different from any other online media venture. The advantage of being a Politi-grifter is you don't need a background in something, like if you were to start a channel on say gardening or using Google Spreadsheets. Just think about how well Nick Fuentes had done as a kid fresh out of high school.

A bit of humor or charisma will take you much further in political content than elsewhere, as politicos are generally boring and lame people. Some off-the-beaten-path info also is helpful, but you can get by on general news reports. What you are really giving your audience is reinforcement they are right, and wider group/sphere is right. Give the takes the audience wants to hear in a way they enjoy, build the audience, build the para-social relationship, collect paypig and ad money, and wait for your eventual ceiling in your growth potential, and either keep coasting or fade away. Use drama to your advantage when it comes up, but don't get torpedoed by it like some have.

If some of your political views were influenced or affected by online political commentators, that's fine by me. You only learn by observing new ideas and accepting differing opinions.

If all your political views come consistently from only one online political commentator, you're a fucking moron.

Except of course for Alex Jones.

What should my USP be? My sense of humor and personality would be more along the lines of Dennis Miller or Adam Carolla.

1. Troon out
2. Retweet the hell out of pinknews.uk, lgbtnations.com and teenvogue.com
3. Yell at Trump, Boris Johnson and random right-wingers.
4. Donate to my Patreon!

Is Tim Pool a grifter or not? Cause I think like HK47's theory that he will secretly vote for Trump but doesn't have the balls to say it.
