I think all this movement has really done is expose society’s primitive understanding and dangerous views on mental health, even beyond gender dysphoria. In a sane society these people would not be encouraged, and would be shut down and shunned. In a better society maybe there would be an effective treatment for gender dysphoria. Who knows if mental health treatment will ever get that advanced... one can only hope. But the gender transitioning treatment is utterly ass-backwards. No other mental health condition is treated like this. We don’t help people with depression kill themselves. We don’t encourage people with binge-eating disorders to binge to their heart’s content. So why in God’s name do we treat gender dysphoria sufferers this way?

Why do psychs treat troons this way? Because otherwise they'll stop visiting.

The root of the problem is that health care is now seen as a service industry. Your goal is to maximize profit (or, in publicly funded systems, to maximize patient throughput at minimum cost) and to do so you try your utmost to make your clients feel good at this very moment, even at the expense of their future well-being.

And not just on the political side of passing non-discrimination laws and demanding single-sex spaces be opened up to them. I agree 100%. It pisses me off that I am supposed to support their delusions and i am supposed to cheer for children having their genitals mangled and being sterilized.

They get to "live their truth" while the truths i live are attacked and i would be called a cisgender shitlord for asking questions or pointing out major issues. They expect 100% compliance and support. I am being told i need to support and cheer for what i believe to be child abuse and manipulation of the mentally ill.

Then, in the decades to come, we will be blamed again for not speaking up and putting a stop to it. The world has truly gone mad.

All their movement has accomplished is taking mental health movements a big step backwards, if you think about it... and taking the societal awareness away from other mental illnesses and leaving them in the dark. People suffering from anorexia are not very different from people with gender dysphoria; they suffer from body dysmorphia in the same way. But the treatments are wildly different. Why?

There's an active and seemingly well-funded movement to push transing of kids which doesn't exist for Anorexia. You could make some justifiable comments about the fashion industry and photoshop if you wanted to draw some parallels but the Trans Activist lobby is on a different level. I've spoken to someone who worked in NGOs in South America ten or twelve years ago and there was a concerted push to promote transgenderism as an issue by some of these NGOs. Someone told me Brazil was something of a test ground for this stuff and that money came from the cosmetics industry and later pharmaceutical companies. I mean, it's a radical bold idea but imagine you're a cosmetics company executive who's been selling lipstick for all these years and it suddenly occurs to you: "there's 50% of the planet we've not marketed to!". They were trying to create a whole new market for their products. The trans movement exploded out of nowhere already well-organized and funded, it seems from the outside.

There are other factors, too. It may be that the whole Trans Lobby movement is a perfect storm of factors that came together at the right time. The inclusion of men in the issue is likely another big one. Some men get eating disorders but it's overwhelmingly affects girls. The TRA movement includes adult men and all their sexual fantasies. Men generally respond differently from teenage girls. More aggressively. Blend that with Left-wing identity politics which is a tool for acquiring power and you have a suddenly much more militant movement.

I think all these factors combined with the fact that it superficially overlaps with sexuality and the West no longer knows as a society how to deal with sexuality issues. A while back it was gay is wrong. Then it became a shower of virtue signalling and Will and Grace comedies to show how gay is great. Most of the Western Middle Class are still tripping over themselves trying to behave socially correctly when it comes to sexuality and so when something like the trans movement comes along and uses tropes like "born this way", Western Middle class people are desperate to show how compassionate they are and that they get it right.

They are doing this in the L Word reboot. Apparently there's a character called Tess, played by the Sense 8 tranny, who in the intention of the writer is a cis lesbian. Thing is that his voice gives him away immediately, and after episode 5 (where he has a "lesbian" sex scene with one of the actresses) there where a lot of disgusted and confused comments from the audience, and the main writer had to confirm, again, that the character is a cis lesbian played by a trans actor.

Anyway, Jazz is evidently becoming more stressed and sick as time passes, so I don't think there'll be new seasons. The 'trans kid' novelty passed, there are for sure other "trans children" who probably are more attractive than him both for looks and for their personal story, I really fear that this kid will just be left forever with his psycho mother who will use him as a show-pony as long as he will be alive... that will be not for much, I suppose.
