Labelle is also one of those people that seems to think that having the more expensive equipment adds value to their work (and possibly could even improve it, although that's just speculation from previous comments on my part), once commenting that no one with an audience the size of AM's could work with a cheap wacom bamboo tablet.
Long time readers of this thread may remember me posting a pic of my own tablet of that era (a cheap wacom bamboo tablet) which I used professionally on products and IP's with 1000x the viewers of Labelle's.
I say this only because I worry about aspiring artists seeing Labelle's post and thinking that if they can't afford that kind of gear they'll never be any good, to which I'll always always always remind them as many times as it takes that more can be done with a pen, single sheet of paper and the will to improve than with any fancy gear.
I'm not the best artist or anything, but goddamn, it's hard enough to get by in this field without people setting up fake obstacles.
