But then I realise the pure power a really effective all-in groomer can obtain over a never ending, increasing pool of seriously emotionally unstable, lost little girls with incredibly low self esteem in the Western world.
And get kinda depressed. It's a very strong hold. When a groomer isn't impulsive and spontaneous and wants a lot more than just a little girl to fuck, they put in a scary amount of time and energy and that's what warps the mind rather than just violates the body.
Even after getting out, girls go back to the perceived 'safety' of the groomer when their home life goes to shit again, because the groomer was the one who was always there, the one who listened, the one who made them think they were making it all better. It's cognitive dissonance really.
It takes years for them to break free entirely and stop going back/yearning/pining, and that's when the real lasting effects kick in when they realise the amount of their personality the groomer has stolen and lose the 'he's safety, he makes everything better' attitude. It's likely Shiloh is only just coming out of all those stages properly after all this time; and it will seriously hit Sarah and Billie like a fucking train at some point in the future.
Groomers don't just brainwash and control their victims, they impose their personality traits onto their victims in the long term, they also impose music taste, political views and stupid benign things like that - these girls sometimes have no idea 'which me is me' for a long time, if that makes sense, and when they do start to realise, the emotional fallout decimates them.
