Community Tard Baby General (includes brain dead kids) - Fundies and their genetic Fuckups; Parents of corpses in denial

So did the crazy fundies give up on the resurrection parties? I get the feeling that those events were fundie version of a private army trying to discourage looking to deeply into the kids death.

How could the evil govt dare think parents who prayed for weeks to resurrect their child could have possibly harmed her? Did you notice all the crazy religious people surrounding us who will picket and protest and shriek if you try to charge us wonderful Christian parents with anything?

Will be interesting to check back in a few months see if the investigation comes up with a cause of death or investigates the looney parents.

I have so much sympathy for people who's babies are born all kinds of fucked up if it wasn't known during pregnancy. I still have sympathy when they try for a while to treat said baby if there's a chance. My sympathy wains when they try to keep said baby alive in a constant state of suffering.

I have nothing but contempt for people who are so selfish they choose their need to reproduce and have a lineage over the need of their child not to be a deformed, brain dead lump of human cells.

Narcissistic fucks.

Agreed. That's why I stick to posting pictures of assholes who shouldve known. Trisomy 13 and 18 appear to look like downs and have other major signs, which means that any attempt to confirm that is gonna show it's way worse.

Like I was curious and searched up Tay Sachs but got an insta of a juvenile case. Feelsbadman.

Why do we exist, just to suffer?

She isn’t stable enough to go to a long term care facility. Here’s a quote a hospital doctor told Buzzfeed News: “Even with medication and support, Tinslee has 'dying events' 2–3 times per day. When she is in distress, Tinslee crashes and aggressive medical intervention is immediately necessary, which causes even more pain.”

Long-term care facilities don’t look after patients until they’re medically stable, and she isn’t.
And GodJesus wants us to keep her like this? More proof that "pro-lifers" actually hate children.

it's very hard on the staff, to torture someone medically this way. reviving a patient is brutal. bones break, lungs are shredded, the heart is bruised. it's a lot of pain, resuscitation is not a pleasant experience and if those injuries can't heal between episodes it's constant pain.

doctors soon begin to feel they're being forced to torture someone. doctors tend to have a high aversion to causing that kind of harm. I'll be surprised if any facility takes her.
Plus normally when you have to treat someone in a manor that is very brutal & painful it's with the knowledge that they have consented to it & they are getting better from this treatment which makes being so "cruel" worth it & not as horrificly taxing. When there is nothing but more agony & no getting better it's beyond gut wrenching to the staff to have to keep hurting someone so violenttly who can't even consent to this treatment & will never ever benefit from it.

I’m confused?. What’s wrong with the poor baby in the photo? If it’s Tay-Sachs why does he look like that? Tay-Sachs is primarily a juvenile disease, most cases don’t even survive till early childhood, but the afflicted kids aren’t physically deformed. It’s a slow neurological killer

Tay-Sachs is one of the most gut wrenching diseases imaginable because parents believe they have perfectly healthy babies until about seven months, when little worrisome symptoms start to appear...and then get to watch their beautiful child slowly and horribly die. A almost unimaginable living hell for the parents and child.

On the plus side they have undertaken extremely serious genetic testing to virtually wipe it out. But then you still have crazy rare cases pop up like this:

The mother had all the genetic testing, but happened to have such rare variation of the gene that the test didn’t detect it.

I had to look up this disease:

Infantile
Infants with Tay–Sachs disease appear to develop normally for the first six months after birth. Then, as neurons become distended with GM2 gangliosides, a relentless deterioration of mental and physical abilities begins. The child may become blind, deaf, unable to swallow, atrophied, and paralytic. Death usually occurs before the age of four.

Apparently they can test for this in-utero at 10 -14 weeks. Why would anyone not abort if they found this? Dead kid before 4, years of pointless suffering and inability to enjoy anything as their senses are dulled and then cruelly cut off one by one. Most people would consider it an act of cruelty to not euthanize an animal in this state.

See Gavin’s Medical Adventure on Facebook for the source of that pic.
Gavin's Medical Adventure, if anyone's too lazy to type.

Interesting. He has lymphatic malformation (hence swelling), which also causes something called Cystic Hygroma. Basically, the lymphatic system doesn't drain the way it should, resulting in puffiness and cysts of fluid all over the affected area. Not exactly a run-of-the-mill gourd-for-brains baby, but not something you hear about every day. He was intubated before he was even born all the way. That's probably a record for the thread, at least. Doesn't seem like there's any cognitive effects, but it's definitely a cosmetic surgery dumpster fire situation.

Nah nah, separate cases. Didnt make that clear. The photo of that kid was from some inspiration porn insta that stole from other places so no idea what was up in the photo.

I was just bringing up how rare mutations of things that dont show up and have no prior family history have my sympathies. I was secretly looking for someone who knew their fetus would have Tay Sachs and chose to keep it. I'm sure theres some idiot out there who has done it.

Oh. Atleast its not suffering anymore... just like the potatos
very glad.

they hate women. forcing a woman to keep a pregnancy that's going to cause them pain is the real reason for all the high and mighty talk.

they simply see the children as a bonus if they can be adopted into a "Christian" family and used for more politics/brainwashing.

I had a thought. This comes from an Amerifag perspective, but I wonder how many of these women that had FUBAR potatoes didn't have the option to abort even if they wanted to? At least in the US late term abortions are only available in a few places and are super expensive (on top of the costs of travel, hotels food, etc). I'd imagine many women who are working class and lower wouldn't be able to afford them, thus have no choice but to carry a completely fucked potato to term.

Yep. The social/familial pressure is high too. If you travel around the Midwest or pretty much any rural area in America, you'll see giant billboards begging women to give birth. It's like fundie Christianity is secretly a fertility cult or something.

Edit: thots and prayers for the Hartley Hooligans, may they twitch and gurgle at the right hand of the Almighty

I think that even if you're forced to carry a potato to term, you don't have to give consent to extraordinary life saving measures. Much like people are allowed to have "do not resuscitate" orders that are legally binding. You could carry the potato to term and let it die a natural death.

A long post.

After reading this thread, I have to say that most physical deformities which can be corrected or worked around are okay in my book. Things like cleft lip and palate are easy fixes over time. People born with it are still normal, functioning human beings with intelligence, emotions, and potential.

Severe brain issues however... Your child can never be independent and they are at risk of neglect, abuse, and death once they are in the custody of carers. If you die, if you can't provide a level of care that they need, they are on their own once you've used them for your ego. If you know your child has a lethal condition or a severe brain defect before they are born and you champion them as a miracle... Everything after birth for them is a living hell. Potatoes in this thread a prime example.

I really don't agree with creating a big social media display for your child that can't consent to being the centre of a circus. It is my pet hate that they become unwilling participants from birth, and they have to grow up with that attention on social media that I don't believe is healthy for a kid with differences learning to accept themselves.

If people don't know they're going to have a baby with severe issues before birth, then much respect to them for accepting the cards they were dealt with grace. Things like harlequin disorder, autism, etc come to mind.

May Lola and Claire never have successors across the human race at any point. Amen. Lol.

Did this get brought up here? GoFundieMe

Tafida Raqeeb suffered a traumatic brain injury in February 2019 (other accounts say she woke with a severe headache and went into a coma because of ruptured blood vessels in her brain. By August the story had hit the headlines because doctors wanted to 'pull the plug' and the family did not agree.

The family fought the decisions to remove life support, had her moved to Italy, gained citizenship for her so she could be treated, the most recent article I read indicated she was only able to be off the ventilator for a few hours a day. I added links for one of the earliest articles I was able to find, and the most recent.

She's currently in a "minimally conscious state" but requires a ventilator most of the day.
