I truly thought she was at least late forties, early fifties. I can’t imagine what she’ll look like ten years from now.

What is this bitch's obsession with American Indians and their traditions? She lives in the fucking Chicago burbs.

Also: "Sage (Salvia) has been used in traditional medicine as a spice and also as a way to improve health. It has a long history of use in Egypt, Rome, and Greek medicine, as well as within Native American healing traditions. As far as burning sage is concerned, dried sage is burned as a possible way to heal, protect, increase wisdom, and boost defense against disease."

Very few things in this world belong to one group of people, and humans naturally share ideas and practices. Livid's brain has turned to pate along with her liver.

The sage Natives burn for cleansing and healing:
Salvia apiana
Is different and apparently somewhat threatened by over harvest. Perhaps witches of the caliber of her and Jude are better off without it.
But God, she's thick as a walrus pancake. She could probably grow it herself if she tried. Seeds do exist.

Wow, that many white women are burning sage, lol? I'm not into woo at all (and yes, this is suburban wiccan woo) and didn't know it was enough of a phenomenon to threaten a species of sage. That's...interesting.

Anyway, Livid's autistic woke screeching is so annoying. She acts like she's the white savior who has to protect all the poor brown people. Meanwhile, she should be worried about her own damn kids, not hypothetical Indians, since she's actively killing herself with her terrible habits and uncontrolled diabetes.

"Don't do x because it's racist" is not a persuasive argument, especially when the "why" it's racist part is as flimsy and ignorant as "cultural appropriation" as has already been mentioned, burning sage has been a global practice for multiple reasons. Did the Egyptians and the Mayans appropriate each other's cultur by both building pyramids? Humans are more alike than we are different and global similarities in culture present themselves in many ways. It's more racist to say "You can't do x because that's a <insert race of choice here> thing." Than to just do the thing.

I will grow my own sage bush and make my tea with it as a god damn please. What are you gonna do? Sit on it so I have to grow a new one?

If you're not a white person and you use electricity, you're part of the problem. I'm sure the 'natives' deeply appeciate the amazong fight Lipids is putting up for them in Instagram stories. The difference she's making in their lives by sperging on about the use of sage by non-natives in new age rituals is the difference between life and death. Lipids is saving lives on the Rez with her stunning, brave work.

Virgie is only 37, for the record. To be fair, she's looked like someone who's led a hard life and is in their mid to late fifties for years anyway.

Virgie, bless her, just got hit by the ugly bus. There was no hope for her from the get go. She was always going to be hideous. She could weigh 100 lbs. and she'd still have hit every branch on the ugly tree. Her attitude only makes her worse. I suppose I can understand being bitter about completely losing the genetic lottery, but there are plenty of ugly people with beautiful personalities and they get along just fine. Virgie is not one of them. Ugly inside and out.
