I don't want to derail the thread with pedo talk too much, but MAPs have been attempting to equate their attraction to children with homosexuality. The fact that homosexuality is largely accepted in western society has inspired these people to attempt the same level of normalization.

You have to keep in mind these troons are getting experimental surgery to permanently alter their genitals, while taking medications off-label, so there's no guarantee it's safe for them either.
