Even when they fabricate stories from whole cloth, why do tumblr users always make themselves sound like morons? What kind of (presumably) grown adult or at LEAST teenage person is "petrified" just to be riding a public bus? And then to break out in sobs and become borderline inconsolable over a guy being slightly awkward toward you... just what the fuck. Either this person went to a rich kid private school, or their mommy drove them to school every day, because being made mildly uncomfortable on the bus is a pretty standard experience for most elementary school children. Let alone supposedly functional adults.

Right? Just tell the guy to fuck off if he keeps pulling that shit. Problem solved. Then get off the bus. Instead of wasting the time of the passengers and the bus driver by holding up the bus by not getting off.

The only way this kind of behavior makes sense is if the person has been through serious trauma, but when Tumblrites talk about their "trauma" it's always stuff like being made fun of in middle school, or arguing with their parents sometimes.

Jesus. How do these people even function in the real world? If I was "petrified" every time some weirdo came into my workplace and started babbling at me, I'd have been let go a long time ago. I would understand being afraid if she was alone with the guy, but she was on a public bus- what the hell does she think he's going to do?

If what she said is true- i.e. him asking for a hug post-rejection- I kind of wonder if maybe the guy was touched, as my father might put it. Obviously there's a possibility he was just really creepy, or weird without being mentally off, but you know a Tumblrite would know better than to speak poorly of a mentally ill/disabled person on a site like Tumblr.
