I could’ve sworn I saw that CGI in 2004 movies like Troy or Catwoman.

Also, Bob calling Todd Phillips a hack is ridiculous because he’s managed to do what no one has done before, make a R-rated movie that’s grossed $1 billion.

Even funnier, I love how he's shitting on Phillips for not being in the same league as everyone else nominated for "Best Director" when just a few months ago he was also shitting on Scorsese for calling out the Marvel movies for what they actually are.

Speaking of Marvel movies, Bob would definitely have this hot take.

All Disney movies have souls! They keep them in flayed corpses nailed to the interior of Space Mountain.
Speaking of Disney, do you know if Bob ever mentioned or delivered hot takes on the movie Armageddon? Since that movie takes a shit on Bob’s views on science and has oil drillers glorified.

Bob has:

1) Shit on fedora-wearers, but complained about how it's their fault he can longer wear his favorite hat.
2) Shit on incels, but is completely unfuckable.
3) Shit on gamers, but plays video games.
4) Shit on basement-dwelling neckbeards, but lives in a literal basement and has a shitty ugly beard.
5) Shit on people for trying to look cool with their bearded sunglasses-wearing user avatard picture, but has one himself.
6) Shit on gamers for being fat, but is himself so morbidly obese that he got diabetes in his early 30s.

And so on, and so on. While it's comprehensible if contemptible why he does all this (a combination of projection and a desperate desire to suck up to the cool kids), how the hell does he think that no one else notices the hypocrisy? Especially with this making fun of the exact same type of user pic he has himself! It's right above every single one of his fucking tweets, including the one where she shits on other people for having one just like it! Truly, Bob is a moron of morons.

Is it confusing that the Sjw's hate Joker or is it just me. To me, Joker sounds like something these types would be nominating for picture of the millennia. Arthur is a downtrodden, mentally ill man who loses his access to care, gets beaten up by some rich cunts, gets slapped by the richest cunt in town, was abused by his mother and her previous partner, and at the end of the movie, Arthur has killed 3 rich people and 1 "privileged" TV show host then Arthur starts a revolution. How could they hate this? Sounds like their wet dream.

Why should Robert have a problem with woke-as-fuck Ken Roach? Because he speaks on behalf of obsolete laborers?
I don't think he has a problem with him. Loach is one of his go to obscure artsy pretentious directors he'll bring up when his detractors accuse him of having low brow taste so he can pwn them with his thorough knowledge of the man and his film('s wikipedia pages). He probably googled Sion Sono on the spot too. Impossible to say for sure, but he's so damned dishonest with this image he throws up of a Renaissance man it's extremely likely. Notice he says nothing substantial about whether he liked any of these films and why. If he did it would probably be canned, pretentious bullshit he read somewhere else (as opposed to his own uncanned pretentious bullshit about Marvel, Star Wars, etc which sounds quite a bit different than when he tries to talk about art films).

If Robert watches artsy movies at all, he does it to pwn the plebs and because he's supposed to like them as a cosmopolitan man of culture, not because he actually likes them. Can you imagine Robert I-hate-moral-complexity Mario-and-Marvel-are-the-greatest-artistic-triumphs-of-our-time Chipman sitting through Citizen Kane and actually, genuinely enjoying it?

If that's the case Bobby should Wiki better. Loach may be an odious propagandizer but he is hardly obscure or pretentious.

Ah. Citizen Kane, the dream of a manchild according to Motion Picture Robert.

Well I don't really think the film is that one-sided. Sure, it does try to humanize a character with mental illness and show how just shoving that shit under the rug is not a good idea, but I think it's a bit more complected than that. Arthur shoots two of the three stock broker guys in self defense and only really gets in their way when they start harassing a woman, but neither Thomas Wayne nor the protesters know that. The protesters only saw them as evil capitalists and Wayne only saw them as employees of his that go caught up in a random act of violence. The way I see it, the film makes the protesters out to be rabid leftists who just hated the stock brokers, because they were of the 'wrong group'. I also remember seeing a sign that accused Wayne of being a fascist in one scene, which isn't really reasonable at all. I thought the film was trying to say that the protesters were a bad antifa-like mob that just wanted to chimp out and didn't really understand what was going on. I'm pretty confident that social justice people would see the protests as the people who are most like them in the film and the film does not portray them in a positive light.

There's also the matter of how (if you think Arthur was not the son of Wayne) Thomas Wayne's actions are pretty reasonable and how Joker's 'revolution' didn't really accomplish anything as the same system that turned Arthur into the Joker is still very much there.

But Arthur is white
Also this.

As for Robert, he just hates it, because the people around him hate it. I bet that if someone was able to get an alternate universe Bob that existed in a timeline where everything was the same, but the Joker was never made and showed him the film without informing him of the twitter bullshit surrounding it then his opinion on the movie would be different.

I think the reason why the woke crowd hates Joker is far simpler than everyone is making it out to be. They hate it because they were told to hate it before it was even out, hell, remember the outrage at the trailer? They assumed it would appeal to alt-right dude bros, so it had to be pure evil and they responded as such. So even though it aligns with their worldviews, they can't accept it because that would mean admitting that they were wrong and that being outraged at everything isn't a good idea.

Also, yes, Arthur is white and his character humanizes poor white men who are disenfranchised.

The movie goes to great pains to also say that even Fleck thinks the mob is stupid. He doesn't care about their politics, he doesn't even know why they're angry. All he cares about is that they noticed him. For the first time in his life something that he did mattered outside of his immediate circle.

The event particularly is supposed to draw comparisons to The 1984 NYC Subway Shooting but with rich whites as the accosting group (which is an interesting twist on the story, since the real shooter was mugged by "urban youths"). I think any liberal who knows the context finds it disturbing, but I don't think most of them do know the context.

The Joker is honestly way to much of a loser for somebody like Bob Chipman to be able to be sympathetic towards. I would not be surprised if Bob Chipman prefered Death Note 2017 to the Joker because hey, Light Turner is a top student who gets bullied by EVIIIL white neanderthal dude bros at school and has the ambition to rid the world of the worlds problems instead of simply wanting to be excepted by a father figure like Arthur Fleck.

I think this nail the point, if they'd been told to like it they'd have liked it. It's important to note a lot of these see movies and culture as some sort of political slap-fight, their are people on the opposite side as well who do this, it's just Joker was a slam dunk because it's a pretty good movie.
Interestingly I think Bob would have hated it even if it had been the left defending it, because he really hates gritty dark superhero movies. He'd have been more subtle about it like he is with Dark Knight but he'd definatly not like the movie.
