It's hard to tell if he really is like this outside of the internet; if we example back to OPL, we do know people can be this dumb in real life, though generally it does mean they contain some sort of mental disorder and/or some sort of twisted childhood that assisted in scattering their brains. OPL has the disorder and did seemingly have a relatively bad upbringing that's turned him into what he is today.
With Gooboy, we obviously don't know his history like we do OPL's. We know he's played some of the older Poke'mon games, like Gold/Silver/Crystal, but didn't turn autistic sperg until X and Y when Goodra was released. He's had mother issues and perhaps some relative issues (I recall him stating they called him a disgrace) that could also have molded him into the sperg that he is.
Personally, I'm hoping Slimediddler isn't as messed up as he portrays himself. I'd rather this be some crazy ruse cruise and go "oh ha, yeah you got me" than he be this legitimately idiotic. If his behavior on the internet reflects his actual thoughts and feelings in the real world, he needs to stop just considering seeing a doctor and actually go visit one because boy does he have problems that need addressed.
I do have to lean more towards agreeing with you that this is all some facade, though. Gooboy is coming off as a real tryhard with his crusade, it's backfiring, yet he's in full blown denial about it; comes off a bit fishy.

Just wanna say, after learning about this guy I've developed a bit of a liking to Goodra. But honestly I think it looks a bit too masculine to have a 50% female ratio, so thats why I've been using my male goodra to take out any and all female Goomy and Goodra I happen to come across. I won't have them tarnishing the strong proud name of the male Goodra with their feminine ways.
