"Coding" and "Tech" are also frequently misleading terms. Depending on the application in question, less than 25% of a "coding" team could be real, actual coders - with other people doing QA, Data Verification, Data Imports/Entry, End User Support, and so on. On my coding team for example - 50% of the open positions we have are entry level to a point where we could just take people from non-coding departments and stick them there and frequently do.
In addition to there being a fair amount of easy/simple/mindless/boring technical work that can be done by anyone; there's also the allure of "diversity" for "woke" companies for hiring trannies as trannies or by claiming trannies as "women".

Your autistic white man in a dress is not bringing more diversity to your workplace. Your goddamn workplace mostly consists of autistic white men. The fact that he has special pronouns and wears makeup badly doesn't give him some kind of special insight into what women in STEM fields experience.

I think its really more simple than that. Some of the troons are probably actual coders. A lot of coders work remotely from home, so no one ever has to look at them, aren't customer facing, so no clients ever need to interact with them, and are basically just math/logic spergs. Oftentimes, people who end up in coding jobs are weird quiet nerds, which basically seems like the perfect person to end up turning into an obnoxious internet troon.
A lot of companies are desperate for competant coders that they might overlook certain eccentricities, especially if it means they can hire a capable worker for lower than the normal rate for the position, just because the hire is an undesireable

Tech work is a loaded word and it is doubtful a bunch of sadbrains are doing anything more critical than entry level support or testing.

Unless they got a nice "chief vice president of diversity" fake job like Silicon Valley companies have, this is probably the case. If you're on a dozen pills and every day is a struggle not to commit suicide because you saw someone say nigger or faggot online, then you probably just help old people figure out how to use their new Android tablet.

The whiniest voices already won - FYAD is dead and you can't even say "Comedy Gas Chamber" or have a smilie that makes an oblique reference to Down syndrome without someone changing it. Jeff of YOSPOS is diligently working on scrubbing any trace of SA's old identity in favor of the troon brigade's vision because they used standard, effective tactics: push for what you want, get it, and then keep pushing until the inevitable snapback. You'll lose some of the stuff you gained traction on, but by then the new normal will be "ableist slurs are a ban+30" and "transphobia is a perma and will close your whole subforum."
