they really ripped this off from people of color. it's significantly more reasonable to suggest that not being attracted to black (or hispanic, asian, etc.) [wo]men is because you grew up in a society that said they were unattractive or because you have other racial hangups. of course nobody's obligated to date anyone and it's natural to have in-group dating preference, but racial preferences are partly due to the society you grew up in. sexual preference is not. also, I have seen white troons saying things like 'you wouldn't date a trans woman? would you also not date a black woman?' and you can tell it's because they view black women as intrinsically more 'masculine' (common in Western society) and not 'real' women

I had that exact same thought. Let's say that I do unpack my preference. I disagree a little with this. There are racial hangups, but there are also simply aesthetic tastes that are pretty similar to ordinary sexual tastes. One can quite simply find a certain body type / skin color / look more attractive sexually. I don't think that's necessarily racist.
