New shit going on.
This Lance Newman is working to have another young voice actor blacklisted and chased out of the profession.

And the gatekeeping resumes, called it.

It's funny and ironic how we explain to @EriMin what "gay ops" means and then this shit comes out.

She read a spam blog article about Vic's 5-year marriage to Michele Splent and said that HE was lying in the quotes written by a non-native English speaker.

She's so dumb that when she put up a poll asking which part of the TCPA stories wins on the creep factor, one of the replies mentioned Monica Rial's story without naming her and then she ran her mouth to T. Greg about this "new allegation".

This is the funniest shit I've ever seen.

Two somewhat different definitions. I was under the impression that it was the latter, but I recently used the word to describe the former situation... so confused.

I think it tends to be the tactics of the former definition in order to achieve the effect of the second definition - the most important feature is that the activity in question is stupid, and stupidly executed.

I appreciate everyone’s responses. Just a little pissed off this morning and wanted to make sure I labeled what was going on properly. Thanks!

I feel like if Vic wins appeal and discovery happens for real, Funimation might settle to avoid showing how the (alleged) blacklisting happens and/or petty drama surrounding Vic and other VAs that are regulars that haven’t said anything either way. Keyword....might.

A good example would be the KV kid that set up the mirror of the GFM and was trying to steal money from people. It then blew up spectacularly in their face and they started crying and calling autism.
There have been plenty of examples, the main one right now being Manjaw and their cohorts trying to get Vic cancelled from the resent signing, and 700 people showed up to give a “Fuck You” to them. I don’t think they realised that they were part of the reason that people showed up.

For vics sake I hope they do. For our sake, I hope they triple down. I wouldnt be upset if they did the former though and would understand completely. As sadistic as I have been feeling towards the defendants and KV in general, I do hope Vic gets the retraction(or at least the clarification) he wants from funimation. If he gets that, the entire defense breaks down.

even if they settle, it doesn’t mean they are immune from discovery. If they settle, they would hand over everything that the other defendants said.

They could do like CNN in the sandmann case and only have limited discovery(them handing over things). I think they can request an NDA on certain things for the case of public record though so that the more damning stuff can be given.

I am sure that this would be the time where they would lose their shit and get really desperate, as it stands, even seeing Vic still doing good and going to cons pisses them the fuck off. I've not heard shit from Monica, Soye or Marchi because they properly know they are on the hook and are about to get what's coming for them in court. Not only that, but I wouldn't be surprised if they are lurking in Nick's livestream and are mad at Lemoine for jacking up costs when they are still at risk at losing the case and having it blow up in their faces.

I am sure that we will get something in a about 2 months (my estimate).

Wow, so Jamie is still has a foot in this case. Damn it's gonna be fun seeing the look on her face when she's brought back because of appeals. Should have save that campaign money for Sam.

That’s why I said “might”. The fact that Funimation hasn’t settled yet despite them having to do the least to make them at least decent from a PR point of view makes me think whoever’s handling Funimation is just as KV as the rest but has enough restraint to not only not be vocal about it, but not say or do anything than can be considered as doubling down.

Why would they settle first? You have a crack at the TCPA, and if you win, you hope the other side doesn’t appeal, they just walk away.

you only settle when the cost of settling is less than the loss you might incur.

I know that they can get out of this with the TCPA. I’m saying if Vic wins appeals, they might settle...but they still haven’t entertained settlements after going this far.
