If he just used this excuse, instead of saying his OCs are outright mammals, it would make more sense. Every time Fennah tries to explain something about the universe his OCs live in, the less sense it makes (which is funny, because as an atheist science man, he should know how to make a new species that is coherent with modern understanding of biology. He goes on and on about the importance of science, but doesn’t even know how to make OCs that are scientifically consistent in their existence).

I only watched a few minutes of his stream, but he didn’t seem quite right. He kept on blanking on words often, and would take long pauses with what he was saying sometimes. Meat contains essential amino acids that cannot be adequately substituted by plants. For his own health, he should probably eat a steak. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was lacking vitamin K2, taurine, and vitamin B12. Sure, you can supplement these, but supplements only work so well sometimes.

Sam kept doing that stuff all throughout the stream. It started as a slightly amusing gag, then he went immediately overboard with it, and by the 40 minute mark, his "Stuart abuse intermissions" were just cringey as fuck. (e.g. this bit at 40:03. Just, jesus.)

Honestly, I think Sam just ran out of things to talk about for this stream like 5 minutes after he started it, and so he was deliberately wasting time to fill the air. It would also explain the long pauses and how slow and sedated Sam sounded in this one, as @JambledUpWords noticed.

While I mostly agree with you, the fact that most of his OCs are designed so poorly is part of the fun. Fennah has such an aversion to cute things (unless it’s an allegory for drug use), that it’s silly. He’s the edge lord that never grew up. Redesigning autistic furry OCs is pointless, but there’s no harm in criticizing his lack of design.

So are viewers just supposed to imagine the psychological horror? In Satellite City, I mostly see decapitated bodies in lewd positions (which is definitely body horror). If he wants to do psychological horror, he should look at Japanese horror films or Alfred Hitchcock classics like The Birds or Psycho. Again, I don’t see why he needs to differentiate himself so much from body horror. If he likes body horror, and wants to put it at the forefront of his work, he should just state outright. Saying that his creatures are psychologically horrifying, while showing mostly body horror, is a cop out. Fennah overthinks things way too much sometimes.

Why would "eldritch horrors" from a universe "completely unlike our own", who are immune to physics, evolve convergently with rodents, which specifically evolved to fill a mammlian niche (keeping in mind that out of 1,263,186 animal species on our planet, only ~5000 are mammals) of a single planet out of 10^24 in the universe?

And furthermore if that were really the reason, they would the quadrupedal. But they're not, because Sam is a furry.

At 1:05, you can see the difference between his bipedal and quadrupedal animations. There’s no effort in his four legged one and Lucy’s front legs are too straight and flat.
