Shipping has always motivated terrible behavior in fandom, but I think adding SJW fuckery to the mix has been what's really driven it above and beyond in recent years. Oh you’re absolutely not alone, I’d wager that a large part of any given fanbase dont really care for shipping. It’s just that shippers are vocal and feel more numerous since non-shippers dont really... have anything to say about the subject meanwhile the shippers do? For example despite how loud the Reylos are your average Star Wars fan in the real world probably could not give less of a shit who Kylo Ren rammed his saber in.
