Recently he compared himself to Sisyphus, and I imagine that's close to how this must feel. Except instead of rolling his rock up a hill it's just flat ground and we're watching him complain about the trolls while he rolls his rock left to right, then back left, then right, etc. every now and then taking a break to double-flip us all off. You're welcome for that mental image.

Did he really say he's Sisyphus? Because that exact reference has come to my mind over and over lately. On the surface level, his game over condition is losing the condo; however, I think the ultimate punishment for Phil is to keep his wakando. Keep his exact same streaming setup - the one he hasn't even minutely changed in like, literally 5 years. Waddle out of bed every single morning, plop his ever-increasing twat down on the casting couch and greet an audience of wheelchairs. Doomed to stay there, slaving away, begging for tips and donations. Much like Sisyphus, doomed to forever keep pushing that boulder up the hill.

Sissyphil, the modern Greco-Italio mythical deity. Growing older, fatter, balder, earning $10k a month, never seeing any of it. That's the ultimate punishment, IMO.

Phil throwing up his hands, achieving a modicum of humility and starting over, losing his McCondo and moving to a place to live within his means, doing a 180 on his personality and treating his wheelchairs like respected viewers and eventually having a resurgence? That's a win for him in my book.

That or losing it all, going homeless, and getting a job cleaning septic tanks to support his drug/liquor habit. That's also the win (for us).

After he stopped recording today's early stream, DSP said the following:

'I don't know why you think we're selling this house - this my place of business, this is where I live. I'm NOT selling this house! I've already declared bankruptcy and the house will be protected. There's not bankruptcy sale going on with this house.'

I mentioned this in the foreclosure thread just now.

But Phil seems to think the only difference between paying off the debt himself and a bankruptcy is that the lawyers do the heavy lifting of actually selling things.

Phil seems to think if he says his statues are worth a thousand dollars each, that the bankruptcy court will liquidate them for that price and not the $47 they actually got for it.

He vastly overestimates how much value selling shit off will get him if someone else handles it. And even if he does keep the house, that just fucks him with more debt burden anyways.

I'm sure he will keep the house, but not debt free like he seems to think he will.

Though, if Phil had his debt wiped today and kept everything he'd find a way to be back in debt within 5 years.

I've deliberately kept my bankruptcy opinions to myself purely because I don't know enough about it but I have a feeling he expects his fans to bail him out of any situation. He seems way too laid back about this. Delusions of grandeur, or perhaps there's more we're not aware of?

I mean he might be aware of his own pigroach luck and expects that will save him, although i'm of the opinion that he simply has no fucking idea what he's getting himself into and just thinks that filing for bankruptcy will magically make his problems go away.

Phil thinks this will pass in mid-2020. He's definitely not aware.

Don't read too much into numbers and stuff posted here... if Phil goes through with Chapter 13, the next 5 years are going to be far more miserable than he's ever been in his life. Read some stories from people online, and see how many of them fail. Then put Phil in those scenarios. We're going to have a blast, fam. Just be patient.

Ignorance is bliss? He isn’t even sure which bankruptcy he’s filing for apparently

Yes he did. I'm not in a position to link or attach any clips but a pig-pig-go search might be able to find something. Unfortunately I think he referred to it as his "Sisyphian struggle" which might be a difficult word for the annotation software to identify.

lol. Cmon........you heard him. He's already declared bankruptcy! GAME OVER!
Does he really think he can just 'declare' it and do nothing else?

This has been bothering me as well. For someone who's on the verge of losing their potential home (and his biggest achievement in life), he's awfully relaxed about all of this.

He seems to be under the impression that he's 100%, undoubtedly keeping his house because "it's his place of business." But as @SoapQueen1 and @AnOminous have pointed out, he can really do everything he's doing anywhere else really. You don't know to live in a 3br/2.5bt house to fucking stream. You can do it in a two-bedroom apartment.

Could his bankruptcy lawyer have told him that he's 100% not losing the house as I assume that's what matters the most to Phil which he probably communicated right away to his lawyer?

I just want him to suffer a little bit damn it, not coast through like he always has.

If he's a competent lawyer he's probably qualified anything he said with lots of conditions, relating to DSP having actually accurately represented the situation to him, what happens to his income, and whether he sticks to a plan. The pigroach being who he is, though, he would have just heard "you 100% guaranteed get to keep the condo" while the rest went in one ear and out the other.

This might just be the relief of his waking debt nightmare having an end to it, no matter what the end is, kicking in. If he doesn't get exactly what he wants out of this, we should see the usual porcine behaviors as soon as the "unexpected" realities of the situation slap him in the face with their cocks

Calling it right now, nothing will change all too much for Phil. He will weasel his way through this and actually "win".
I disagree. I think you're underestimating exactly how fucked Phil's life is. For starters:
  • Bankrupt
  • Gambling addiction
  • Loveless marriage
  • Terrified of his wife
  • Physically unhealthy
  • Inability to learn
  • No friends
  • No job skills
  • Hates his "job"
  • Unreliable income
  • Crippling stress from "trolls"
This is all evidenced by the rant he had at the end of his drama stream where he complained about trolls until he was out of breath. Never seen him that salty over anything before.

He may not get his full comeuppance from this and pigroach his way out of some of these problems but Phil will not "win" anything. His life is too far destroyed, and he's too big of an idiot to make the right moves to fix it even if it wasn't.

So what happens if at some point he starts to renege on the terms of the bankruptcy by underreporting income or straying from the payment plan or exceeding the living stipend that the trustee sets for him? Is there any chance for severe consequences to impact him?

The plan is canceled and either reworked or he's just flat out kicked out of bankruptcy and they just go ahead with collection against all his assets without protection.
