Bit of a Cassandra, I guess. He trolled Dick long before everyone else noticed he was exceptional. We were all too dazzled by Maddox' supercritical stupidity to see the glow of potential lolcowdom from Dick.

You had to be notably insane to come off as a nutcase in the early days of the show, considering just how dodgy and clumsy Maddox was acting for such a long time. The rise of Clown World didn't help matters either, as loonies like Stefan Molyneux could build audiences by just putting out the impression that they're sane and pro-Trump as so many of us slowly watched people we follow and people we knew get increasingly unhinged.

But we're all just sort of used to it now, so the veil is falling down.

Honestly, I think Dick needs to just take a break from Reddit. Reddit is inherently frustratingly rétarded, with how circlejerky it is and how everyone has to abide by the karma system (that totally doesn't matter, guys!) to not get their posts buried and not feel like they're being shit on. Same sentiment goes for Twitter. Take a break from social media for a while, keep the podcasts going, and just record like 5 episodes in a row with no guests, getting all outside material entirely from your inbox. I think that'd be the best thing to do right now.

Maybe I'm fanboying too hard for him but I don't really think Jesse cares about fame. He started his show 10 years ago and barely gets 2k views a video now. I really don't know what keeps him going.

It very well could be Jess, but taking advantage of Dick Show reddit drama seems more Jesse's MO. It's worth remembering how massive a sperg he was in the earlier days of TDS. His trolling attempts were mostly failures and involved petty shit like doxxing and scamming (iirc doxxed some fb group Dickheads and Madcucks on his show, made a fake Madcucks patreon before the real one went up), which all ended in him losing his own patreon and backing off from trying to troll TDS.

Speaking of Jesse though, it's funny that Dick is complaining so much about concern trolling lately. There were a boatload of red flags but not much had actually been said by primary parties. Once these guys started talking though it became clear just what a greedy little gossip gremlin Asterios was. I still don't even understand all his actions to be honest. He clearly cared soooo much about his own personal image, about not being labelled a nazi bigot etc, but any and all damage had already been done, surely? Doors had already been permanently shut on him for his own actions/words/jokes and the associations he had kept for a long time. In the shitty online comedy world he wanted to inhabit, he was a fucking non-starter and the fact he didn't realise this and just make do with the fanbases already available to him (very GENEROUS fanbases may I add) still confuses me. Add to that all his shit talking behind people's back, his supposed drug issues and refusals to downsize his spending or relocate... He just comes across as delusional of both what his situation was and what he was 'entitled' to.

I just don't understand how someone trying to make it in showbiz/Hollywood can be so blindly idiotic and oblivious to how all his actions could be perceived by the people he hopes to get jobs/roles from, from a Hollywood corporate exec, all the way to some small time unknown trying to launch an indy project.
