Sam Fennah / FailSafe42 - Atheist furry who dropped out of college; sperged to Bionicle fans about God not existing #SAVEBOB

He uses Blender for all of his animating. I'm not sure whether we nailed that fact down earlier in the thread or not, so I'll drop the relevant tweet here anyway:

Hahaha shit he uses Blender exclusively?? No shade on being self-taught in Blender, it's a fantastic open source software with a huge toolset, but it's not taken seriously by many professionals and not used in any production houses of note. He's not going to be desirable to many places if he's not willing to throw a few bucks down or pirate to learn the basics of Maya/3ds Max/Substance Painter/ZBrush/Cinema 4D/Houdini/I won't go on I've made my point. This really is expected even at entry level and - surprise! - the basics of all of these are taught at school. A new program isn't something you can pick up overnight, and Blender is a particularly bad starting point as its open-source nature has turned it into a weird bastardized hybrid whose UI is quite different to other 3D software. If he wants to be hireable at all (which I'm not sure he does, which seems-short sighted) he's going to have to put on his big boy pants and give other products a try.

I've used Max and Maya in my courses, Max a lot more so, so I'm biased towards it over Maya. It's definitely very powerful, but it's also a temperamental beast that's hard to work with, like an Arabian horse with brain damage. Frankly, the fact that it's the industry standard is bullshit, but it still looks good on a resume.

hope I'm not late to the party here

Is that why the hair physics are so wonky and clothes on characters just seem glued to them most of the time?

I was never good at 3D animation in like, any single aspect, but I do know that a lot of programs have particle effects or effects for cloth and hair, and he only ever seems to use the one for hair, which often results in characters looking like their hair is underwater if they move around too much. Bob is, interestingly enough, one of the worst examples of using a 3D animation program; he's got some slight squash-and-stretch going on, but the scene where he rolls in on the floor past Chicago Furry Lite-Brite Teeth Jesus, he's clipping through the floor. There is no rigging on his fins for movement, and they're often completely static and will clip into floors or other characters. When his mouth moves, Fennah will manipulate the vertices around Bob's mouth to make it move in and out in order to make him look more lively, but the rest of his body will remain completely static, which makes Bob look like he's a completely hollow sphere of polygons, rather than something with mass. Fennah only gave a shit about animating Bob when Bob was being abused or exploding in that furnace, otherwise he put next to no effort in animating Bob. Give me Maya and a Bob character model and I could churn out something about as on par with what Sam did in a few minutes, save the time used for rendering.

Of course Sam put the most effort into the unnecessarily brutal death scene. Geezus (:_(

Anyway, at least some of Sam's fans seem to get Bob's message of unconditional love though. (I was going to crop this screenshot more, but I included everything to give people an idea of the cancer that is Amino. The still doesn't really do it justice: that background is constantly moving, the comment ticker at the bottom keeps scrolling on its own, and trying to do anything makes a "Sign up now! NOW, DO IT" window popup.)

If any unfortunate soul wants to dig through the Fennah Amino and see if there's anything there about the fans harassing FunnyMouthAsh over Bob that @Useless Shit mentioned here, it'd be much appreciated! I haven't been able to find anything about it on Twitter.

I wouldn't blame Blender for that (although I have only a basic knowledge of its features as I'm mainly a Maya user). It can produce quality stuff when used by someone with skill. Its current splash screen features a screenshot from the short film Spring, which was made entirely in Blender and is gorgeous.
Blog-1d91cb0d-cbbd-4c84-9101-771e67a1dd4c.jpg

The main reason it has a credibility issue is the same reason Unity does: it's free with extensive tutorials and anyone with a functioning pc can follow along and churn something out with it. The CGI market is saturated with low-skill Blender artists with no formal education or understanding of good scene management, animation principles, or polygon efficiency, which leads to its current stigma. (eta I would just love to dig around in a Satellite City scene and get a look at Fennah's file structure and topology especially, even though it would probably make me cry)
Someone creating with Maya, ZBrush or the Substance suite is likely paying a monthly subscription for that software. It's a sign that they're actually willing to invest in their skills and educated enough that the work they produce will at least make back the subscription fee.
There are always going to be freaks of nature using Blender to rival Pixar's quality and amateur Maya artists either pirating or abusing a student licence, but it's generally a good rule of thumb that recruiters follow.

I knew Blender was free, I've just never worked with it. But that's good to know.

Only one of those programs I was able to work my way around in was ZBrush just because it's a lot more intuitive to use, but it doesn't really seem like a useful program if you're trying to keep a low poly-count. Not that Fennah cares about low poly counts, since he farms out his rendering elsewhere rather than having to actually set up a computer to render a short animation for hours and hope it doesn't crash on you.

I don't know why that bugs me, but it does.

tldr: blender is a good program but because every Joe schmo can use it, it's gotten a stigma that only Joe schmos use it, people that don't understand the needed concepts in 3D animation. Fennah probably doesn't know how to do stuff like a pro, as much as he'll piss and whine otherwise.

It also doesn't help that some of the most degenerate, nightmarish pornography has been animated through Blender.

Not that I would know. Of course.

What a fucking HArmless and pure boy, how dare she make such a wonderful thing out of Fennah's work.

This boy loves to draw with Crayons, and Gifts his favorite crayons to people he loves, how the hell would you wanna beat the fuck out of that sweet boy!

Fennah's got a lot of nerve to not only twist his image to his community and even creator, but animate and bring him to life just to kill him off. All just cause Love-able Bob outshines his shitty pokadot Lesbian Edgelord.

Very Mature, and very Adult of you Fennah, you Heartless Tosser.

First I'd like to give some credit to @Yotsubaaa For archiving some of the things in this post and @Pina Colda 88 for the past things in the thread about things I may have missed, in making this. I'll link anything @Pina Colda 88 has contributed towards these individuals in the post to the past remarks in the thread.

So during the whole deboggle that our Fennah thread had debating on if Fennah was a furry in denial He is and near the beginning of the thread there were countless works of art of his characters in sexual positions while being decapitated and in most cases posed like a victim of Jeffery Dhamer. After being in his discord for a few weeks I took the liberty into looking into the group called "the grand voice cabinet". The group contains his voice actors and in most cases are Admins of his server. There was one person who isn't in the voice cabinet because this tweet caught my eye.

the squad.png

(Archive)

It turns out those who did the artwork we found and the people he was tweeting to about furries were the same people as his mods in his discord. Not only are they voice actors and artists, they are also in a tight knit group and not afraid to be open about their degeneracy. Interestingly each of them are degenerate in their own way as well. Some of them are worse than others so I decided to put together a bit of a profile of each of his mods/friends/staff. Don't expect each of them to have a quality on the same level as an OP.

I'll be excluding Carmen (his girlfriend for those who are new) as she has had some of her stuff Included earlier in the thread. Another exclusion will be Duane Olson as he also had an inclusion earlier in the thread and is the outlier of the group, being more normal than the rest of the staff.

I'll be referring to interactions of the world around Fennah as the "Fennahverse".

I would also hope this sheds some light on questions some of us have had about the people Fennah himself interacts with and highlight some people of interest when it comes to Sam little world. I did try to include some information about them as well, but if you can see there are 10 of them and 1 of me.

Discord name.png

The only one who was able to avoid my grasp. The only thing I can find acknowledging their exsistance is this Amino page. There were two questionable deviant arts, but even those didn't lead to anything else.

They came up with Maargit

Angela Simpson is a transgendered voice actor of the Fennahverse. He is one of the main announcers in the discord and quite active in the moderation role. He voices Fleischer, Hayden and Hux on top of some general acting outside the Fennahverse. He is dating the other transgendered voice actor in the group "Azure Douglas". A little side thing he does is bad cosplay.

Fellow kiwi's, I'm sorry I've kept this from you all for so long, but this needs to be said. I hope you all will still protect bob as a character. 💕

Ashley Tyler has been suspect number one to most of the art that we have been throwing around here. She has has quite a few of her pieces featured on here. It turns out the sexual gore pictures is her normal style of drawing with very few pieces actually having nothing to do with gore by itself yet tend to be sexualized. Not to metnion she has some other screws loose- @Yotsubaaa currently has those tweets at the moment.

For those Fennah Ugandan knuckles out there, I present to you your queen. The very woman who voices Lucy Lacemaker! She changes her hair so often and finding a pictures of her with snapchat filters are more abundant than the amount of spawn that two horny jack rabbits would make in an hour. She has furry tendencies herself and voices Lucy, Wexle, Locket and Shale along side her voice acting Lucy.

She's does the standard kind of art you'd expect out of someone like her, nothing like the gore and overly sexual poses of things that have been seen on the thread.

She isn't just an artist and the voice to the mickey mouse of the most deranged face in the Fennahverse, but Rikki herself does short 2D animations and I mean really short. Almost every video is under 20 seconds.

Jessica Lamb is someone that hangs around Fennah and the crew, but doesn't appear to be someone that is very involved in their everyday activities. All of her social media's appear to be quite professional. Her insertion of personal life matters are low outside of banter with the real life Fennahverse.

She bears a striking resemblance to the artist Bethany Marsden an artist who draws thumbnails for YouTubers in and those around the group Misfits, a popular one being Smii7y.

Jessica lamb has her own skills in drawing and animation. One day she wants to animate her own adult web series called "the Thorvendor cronciles". A story about the happenings and events in a world called 'Thorvendor'. Here's a few links to media's dedicated to the series, there is more to be found on her Instagram, Fissart twitter account and deviantart.

She also appears to have some form of relationship with a tumblr user that goes by wisdomandlogicareking.

Erika Gabriella Oste is an artist of the Fennahverse. She has made numerous contributions to the Satellite City Lore website. For those who are trying to access it at time of posting, it is still broken. She is such a fan of the series and dedicated to her work that her twitter feed is full of voluntary pieces of work about satellite city. You may notice that she has duplicates of her social media accounts, as she states she is a shy person. She is the voice of Mystique, the one that appeared in the corset in Fennah's Nostalgia critic's The Wall segment.

A bit more here

Halie was the young lady that came up with and is the voice of Luna. She also happens to be Carmens roomate (which means my previous Carmen Dox/Fennah's home isn't up to date). Her Twitter account has the pronouns that/bitch so she's already a bit cooler than everyone else in the real life Fennahverse. Until you read that she is Ludwigs wifu with an odd facination for the scarecrow. She has a very big passion for JoJo's Bizzare adventure as quite a few of her names are inspired by the anime and Gaming isn't something she keeps secret as she makes artwork from the games she's playing/played.

Artwork based after Vampyre:

She does commission work that isn't related to the Fennahverse, so not everything is as obsessive and hyper fan of Satellite city. She does have the second highest number of contributions to the Satellite City Lore website. Regardless, she still has degenerate and edgey qualities in her work.

Azure Douglas a Transgendered that uses social media almost like it's supposed to. His twitter has shitposts- from the Fennahverse- and just chuck full of responding to people- from the Fennahverse. He is the voice of Hyzenthlay, Holly, The Mannequin and Cascade. He is also dating the arformentioned Angela.

He provides mainly voice acting when it comes to Fennah's stuff. All of his artistic talent goes towards his Mandolorian cosplay that he does in a group. (pink) His costume is quite impressive. He goes around with a group of other Mandolorian cosplayers for charities. Very noble.

Breanna Frost. I honestly can't really find too much on her she did a really good job at keeping her identity a secret as these are the only two photos I can find of her anywhere. She even has a large digital footprint as you can see from the linked accounts below. This lady designed and voices Titania and describes herself as a gremlin from her twitch account.

There isn't much else I can say about her. She is apart of Sam's circle and interacts with them quite a bit, but has actual works outside a total stan for Satellite city and nothing of too notoriety to really highlight.

Janessa P Elday, Congrats on graduating high school last year. Class of 2019.
Look at how scrawny they are.jpg

Janessa is an aesexual artist and 2D amerature animator. She is a bit of a lesser being in the Fennah community. She isn't someone who has a big voice like the voice actors or those who have made successful OC's but is still relevant in the community as she is a close friend of Carmens. Her artwork is the lightest of the whole crews furry artwork.
