Most police force are at least slightly understaffed and not sitting around doing nothing. In order to "actively dig" into someone, they need to be investigating a crime (or suspected crime) that has a case number.

Since it needs to be said AGAIN and AGAIN, the police transcripts of the 911 calls made from the Jackson residence cross reference an ongoing FBI case. Those are records from the police, stating that there’s an FBI investigation.

This is not difficult information to process, I get you all are finally glad to try to have a reason to discredit Chris Hansen for some reason but this was not released by him. Sure, they don’t have the laptop, however if there’s an ongoing FBI investigation for CP they might eventually look at it purely to prosecute every person whose hands it passed through. It may not reflect on Onion at all but on the girls and Vincent. With as many hands as the CP has passed I’m sure the FBI investigation is going to be very thorough about rounding up every person who was involved. They may not necessarily care about Onion himself unless they think he created a network linking other predators together, enabling other predators.

Not saying they won’t prosecute him, I’m sure they will, but I doubt just the rumors he had it were enough, the thing that caught their attention was likely the community he built.

If I were a police officer and knew I had a turd like that in my midst, I would certainly spend any extra time I had digging.

Say he is finally arrested and convicted - if they found out Onion got regular calls on him to local PD, had Chris Hansen at his door, had the feds on him, was regularly involved with CPS, this very public internet debacle, and he has been convicted all for local PD to be unwilling to investigate the accusations or have a few people keep him actively on their radar simply because they don't yet have the right evidence?

Sounds like a PR nightmare and missed opportunity.

Local PD won’t investigate, Washington is incredibly understaffed in that regard all around and the cops are too busy answering constant calls from shit that tweakers are doing. The state wants to enable drug use instead of doing anything about it so when the tweakers start getting into shit the local police get called in to pick them up, only for them to be released by the court system back into the general public with only a slap on the wrist, rinse and repeat. It’s a massive problem all over Washington and instead of punishing people for criminal behavior and activity, they put in more outpatient methadone clinics that do nothing to address the long-term effects of addiction.

I like how Hansen asks why Vincent had the laptop. He said he was going to give it to Vincent on one of the livestreams! What local and federal investigations? Every time there's a 911 call to Onion's house and a policeman asks questions, does that count as a local investigation? Who is currently investigating him? The Sheriff? The FBI? Land Management? Why would law enforcement have multiple investigations going on at the same time? Wouldn't they consolidate them? I don't think there are any ongoing investigations. If there were, why would they let Hansen run roughshod all over their case?

Did you even watch the stream? Hansen said (more than once) the the person responsible for public relations with the Pierce County Sheriff's Office said ON THE RECORD that there are multiple criminal investigations into Greg and Lainey.

This document from the Sheriff's Office refers to the existence of an FBI case. It can be argued that whoever typed this may not have that knowledge, but I believe if you combine it with the known existence of criminal investigations with the Sheriff's office+the type of shit Greg has done+what Hansen has said+what shiloh has said, it's more logical to assume that the document is correct. To assume otherwise would indicate some fucking bias against Hansen or approval of Greg.

I agree, there is something sus about it. Lainey has always seen the genetically defective waterhead as a prize. She's always been so smug (and delusional) about being the one to win Greg's hand in marriage (KEK.) Even when his popularity dwindled, and the nature of how terrible he is became more widespread, she still relished in being his wife. She would have never not proudly attached whatever last name he's currently using to her name. Especially not on social media. She was proud to be Mrs. Waterhead.
