Dominique McLean / SonicFox - I'M GAAAAAAAYYYY

SonicFox decides to play Street Fighter V after Gill comes out. Not only have we never really seen him play it but...I think the footage speaks for itself.
-Continuously calls the streamer "dickhead" and whines "let me play"
-Calls Akuma's demon flip a teleport in the sky, which shows he's either never played SF in his life or hasn't played much to see one of Akuma's moves that's used frequently during a certain combo
-"No Reactions" in the sense that he's not blocking nor properly deals with a whiffed grab. Sorry, two whiffed grabs*
-Extremely toxic trash talker when the streamer wins
-blames it on lag
Another game dropped I'm sure.

*In Street Fighter, pressing back twice in quick succession lets you do a back dash and since Street Fighter 4, it makes you invulnerable to normal grabs with light punch and light kick.

Not true, he played SF5 for the first few months and made top 8 at the first big event. That said, I don't think he's particularly good at SF5 either, but I think this video is more trash talking between friends than any indication of SonicFox being as autistic as we know he is.

EDIT: I mean, it even says that in the very tweet you linked. They're just playing around and are friends. Come on now, you don't have to try and make up content for this idiot, he's more than embarrassing enough without that.

Yep.

You can't really take trash talking in the FGC at face-value. It's just part of the banter that comes with the territory. Even the nicest players will trash talk their friends.

To my knowledge she just kind of grew out of it, so Sonic might, but I'm not keeping my fingers crossed.

Considering the fame, skill and money in the equation and the fact that he became NB only AFTER he got fame, I really fucking doubt it, he probably wasn't (and if not, "less") like this before anyone knew who the fuck he was, therefore I doubt that this is going to change with age.

Edit: I just realized that Dominique may be doing this shit not solely for attention, but because he got fame. Nobody would ever dare to refer to him as, well, a "him" in a formal conversational setting because if that were to happen, he wouldn't even need to bully his opponents, his rabid fans will do that for him. In a away I feel like that this Non-Binary revelation was done so by him as group affirmation and as a soft seamless technique to divert any possible critique as enbyphobic... Which leaves me to think that McClean is actually quite smart in some extent. What would you people say instead? Could be my observation be better or do you have a completely different take on this?

Well this was fun.
Smug and Sonicfox agree to do a set in SF5, streamed for all to see. They do a button check, then Smug asks him how long does he want the set to be. 5, 10, 15?
Sonicfox - Until you want to die and quit...

Final score: 35 - 1 to Smug. Makes his 13-0 to PerfectL3gend look like a complete wash. His first and only win? When he was 19-0.

You left out the part where he told Smug to correct his language and that he has recently come out as transgender. Told smug to use his proper pronouns. He did this right after Smug praised him for being an inspiration to the FGC community. I really dislike this cunt just for the disrespect he showed to an OG like smug and needing to tell everyone how he was trans and gay. Repeatedly on smugs stream.

Someone told me to shut the fuck up because I wasn't sucking SonicFox's enby black cock. Life is good.

Seriously, SonicFox fans are like a fucking cult.
I wouldn't call it fanboy-ism, insomuch as a instinctive reaction to not "bring down" the one seemingly (mildly) successful furry who "made it". Never mind that his claim to fame was fleeting as fuck, and he has been on a downhill slide ever since.

"Recently" as in like, a month or two ago, right? If people didn't know you as transgender beforehand, they still might screw up with pronouns. It's nothing to get super upset over unless it's done repeatedly by people you know. Misgendering can and will happen, even to the transest of genders.

Do people actually like SonicFox as a person, or just because they're good at fighting games?

Almost 100% sure SF fans are "ironic haha look he makse poepl upset xd" or degenerate furfags. Often both.

No, the people who like them just have no life outside of furry troon internet circles and live vicariously through them to "stick it to the trolls".

And compared to other competitive fighting game players SonicFox is kind of trash. There's a pattern they tend to repeat:

1. Find a newer fighting game with a relatively small competitive scene.
2. Figure out which character is the most broken/the easiest to corner trap with.
3. Win some early tournaments when most people are still figuring out the game's nuances.
4. Get bodied consistently when people figure out how to counter their main.
5. Rinse and repeat with a new game.

Why are you seriously calling him them?

I also refer to lolcows with whatever pronouns they go with. See, a lot of cows think they can just run away from their old bad identity and become a new cool person, they naturally dismiss all the old names, usernames and pronouns as addressing the old them, distancing from own past as if it was another person. By playing along with whatever identity they choose when mocking them, you render their psychological defense mechanism moot. Then they can either create yet another identity as "real" them, which is pathetic and absolutely hilarious, or they have to face the truth that they're still the same awful unlikeable person they were before changing their online persona and pronouns and there's no running away from that.

Smug is pretty underrated imo. His biggest hindrance is his character loyalty.

SonicFoxx's fans are completely ridiculous. You'll see it in any MK stream for a major. They pretty much shit on anyone who isn't sonic.

This is pretty much it. You'll see SonicFoxx do well when certain things happen. New Characters. New Meta. New game, or people stop caring about a game. There's a reason you'll probably never see them play a game like Tekken, or Guilty Gear at any high level.

Reactions: Tism the Return

Aye, that's pretty much a good way to beat in their game: different pronoun and name, same old piece of shit. They often try to hide behind the wall of "This is transphobia" and shit, but if you call them a piece of shit with the correct pronouns, it kinda make it a bit harder for themselves to bring the transphobic card.

Doesn't mean they won't, they cling on that card harder than a meth addict to their shots, but people around them will soon or later notice and laugh at them.

Still wish sonicfox didn't pussy out from that match against ZeRo, would have been hilarious to see his ass torn apart by a smash veteran.

...because some people write like that? You've never seen someone go "they're over there" or something like that?

I guess you haven't been reading the thread, this autistic furry has started demanding to be called "they" over "he" and spergs when people call the man a him.

I don't necessarily agree, but interesting point of view. Thanks for the input!

SonicFox got decimated at the biggest DBFZ tournament, going 0-3 and then went to twitter to do his best DSPig impression. His combos just weren't happening man, he could've totally had those guys but he just got nervous.
