The late stage infected would be really easy to spot and identify, just like they already are for people randomly collapsing in the streets.
This is a cringe and bluepilled opinion because basically everybody would hide their zombie bites only to have them discovered far too late.

Just like they are now.

Doctors at hospitals are using surgical masks to treat the infected.

Those surgical masks are for blocking blood spatter. They don't do anything to stop airborne pathogens.

Those same doctors are treating people who are uninfected. Wait a couple weeks.

I work in one of the biggest and busiest airports in the US.
Our supervisors are telling us to wear gloves and wash our hands after handling each flight, so working in one of the places to be ground zero for infection is going to be fun.
I bet either Delta or Southwest will be the ones to bring in the virus.

wash your hands properly, wear gloves. Get into the habit of never touching your face or eyes when you’re out and aboit. When you go home change your clothes and shower. If you get any symptoms (including diarrhoea) see a doc. SARS was mainly droplet transmission but faeces and urine were also found to contain virus which means its probably in all body fluids.

I'm not an epidemiologist but I thought that most airborne human to human diseases become transmissible during the incubation period.

some do and some don’t. SARS iirc was said to be transmissible only when symptoms appeared. However since this virus hasn’t been studied properly at all, I’d take their announcement with a hefty pinch of salt.
Interesting seeing the videos - some of those suits are indeed costumes/non functional. It says a lot about current year that I have no idea if they are real, or staged.
All these emergent viruses (and many existing ones) have the potential to become pandemic killers. Will this one? No one knows, it could fizzlebout like sars and mers or it could kill tens of millions.

What gets me is that from looking at google maps, Wuhan is roughly the same size as northeast Ohio. I can't even imagine this whole place under lockdown and people just dropping like flies

The reason to deploy the police to Wuhan is the same reason they'll keep harping that this disease came from eating snakes and bats and turtles assholes.

If the population gets panicky and angry enough that cute little bioweapons lab could end up the target of rumors and shit by scared and angry people. It would only take a few groups thinking that if the disease came from there then they have the cure there too.

Then you get a mob storming the place (Like some hospitals got stormed in Africa during the Ebola Chan Tour) and tearing it up.

THEN you have a fucking problem as these dipshits do only God knows what chinks would do in a bioweapons lab looking for a cure for their sniffles and coughs.

Move the military in to cordon off the city, protect "infrastructure" and guard the fuck out of the bioweapons lab, hope the population doesn't chimp the fuck out, keep saying the disease came from turtle buttholes, snake vaginas, and bat balls.

Yeah, that's something that I have thought of that as well. They aren't quarantining whole cities, shutting down theaters and celebrations because they think it will do anything, but to project the power of the Party and its state, and allowing them to take credit once the whole thing dies down (which it will, eventually) for their "quick and decisive action".

I don't think China is playing 20d chess. They've been threatening people to keep quiet about the virus and were trying to cover it up weeks ago while underplaying/lying about its severity. There's no reason to do this. It doesn't look good. Abandoning Wuhan hospitals doesn't look good. They're going to lose a shit ton of money from the tourism loss today. For what? So the subservient mainland chinese will like him even more than they already did? That makes no sense.

China was caught recently running a factory that still produced CFC's, which were banned in 1995. Globally. Let me repeat that - CFC's were banned globally, in 1995, because they were one of the few times that the Climate Crusader's have had anything resembling a valid complaint, which was "CFC's are fucking up the ozone layer, and we should stop making them." Lo and behold, the planet (except China, apparently) stopped making them, and like pharmaceutical companies, the modern Climate Crusaders realized that solving problems was all well and good, but didn't lead to the long-term opportunity to siphon tax revenue into an artificial economy designed to benefit themselves, and pretty much no one else.

Doctors are treated like absolute shit in China.

Low pay, long hours, direction by ignorant party bosses, ignorant populace that just wants traditional remedies and believes they know better than you. Automatic low social credit score, you buy all your shit at the window and travel on the tard train.

But all the "Social Media Communists" have repeatedly assured me that a socialist/communist system would be the most efficient and compassionate way to deliver healthcare, because "healthcare is a human right", and it's totally reasonable to force people like medical professionals to provide entirely free labour.

One minor point: there doesn't seem to be a real answer to how the fuck this disease was transmitted. I guess the public just badly rehashes whatever they'll see in the news, but scientists can't say for sure.

tbh I was convinced that it was transmitted from bats because the virus has such a strong homology to SARS-like bat coronavirus, but then the "snake" connection became the center of talk. it was widely discussed by media for some reason, but it's not actually scientific consensus. apparently scientists found the bat connection very quickly, but there's a problem: bats aren't around in china at this time of year... So there must be an intermediate species that would be in close contact with bats, right? They came up with snakes. Fucking snakes. The method they used was measuring codon bias and just picked whatever was closest. This is bunk. And the virus almost certainly didn't go through snakes from a bat, they're way too genetically different. It was highly contentious and scientists dropped it like its hot. I hope WHO is able to get access to what they need to research the source of this shit. Might need international pressure or something.

Start in China, symptoms are hidden and often inconsistent, start at a major transportation hub. not a bad play, but Madagascar will be tough.
