Articles & Happening Meta Discussion

Articles & Happenings is the third attempt at a news board on the Kiwi Farms. It is a cursed place. Every moderator who has been assigned here has resigned within a year. During 2016, the political crossfire was so bad it spread to different boards and culminated in me banning American news discussion entirely for several months. It has been deleted in its entirety twice. There is no actual discussion here, it's people posting garbage. It leans much further right than the rest of the site and doesn't particularly conduct discussion because dissenting opinions are dogpiled by a thousand memelords posting shit they read on /pol/ without any critical analysis.

The only rules that can be enforced are empirical ones with boolean violation answers. New threads must cite a real source directly and must use the headline of the article as a thread title without any editorializing. Articles must be archived in some way and must link to the original article. Replies that are one word or a reaction images are automatic one-month bans from the board.

I'm creating this now because it seems like this place is here to stay and is one of the largest areas of the entire site. I might as well throw in bare minimum effort to improve it. I don't even try to find mods for here because they will quit, without exception. I've added new prefixes ("Business" and "Crime") just now.

Discuss.

New threads should be made like this.

And must link to the original article. Right in the OP.
I'll see your autism and raise:

The article must link to the original article. Archived articles have such a link.

It's technically true that the threads are supposed to start with an original link and then an archived link, but since we got quarantined I don't see that as much of an issue anymore. If it's reported it'll get handled, if it's not reported I don't think that I'd even look twice at is as long as one or the other was there.

Oh man, I go and catch up on something awful and gush over color out of space and miss all the fun! The highlights were @OwO What's This? getting caught posting on something awful (how embarrassing), and when people accused @The Last Stand of popping into a&h out of nowhere to get in null's ear for the second time in this thread (he's actually one of the most prolific lefties in a&h)

I don't think the site's lefties are haranguing null to close a&h, although I can certainly see it appearing that way, particularly since pretending to align with that motive is incredibly easy bait. It's the squeaky wheel getting the grease - righties don't complain about a&h because of course they don't, and lefties do for the same reason.

If you delete A&H I will haunt your precious cow boards until the day Akiva Cohen sells it off for more children's blood and adrenochrome (mazeltov cocktail)
No thread will be safe from uncomfortable statistics and innocent questions about cremation technology, all the veterans and paypigs will look up at me and cry "please let us mock these weirdos"
And I will whisper back
"Jews"

I believed the same until the people bitching got what they wanted and more, and decided it still wasn't good enough.

Reminder that this thread was started over the idea that A&H needed moderation. It's now got two people on that task and it's completely hidden from public viewing. Unless anyone's going to outright say that HK-47 and Secret Asshole aren't doing their duties diligently enough, I don't see how any of the complaints lobbed at A&H now hold any water.

I am curious about something.

Is there some sort of rule against pinging someone out of nowhere to start some stupid slapfight? I have seen it happen before, and it is possibly the only thing stupider than overzealous Jewposting.
Yeah, that would generally fall under thread derailing.
