EDIT: I forgot to mention that the not brushing teeth thing bothers me because getting your mouth all nasty and infected can make you sick. So fuck it. Just go ahead and rot the teeth out of your head. You're beautiful.

Super late reply (and slightly off topic) because I've only just caught up but no, I don't think Aelur was paid to draw that. She was very popular in the Tumblr serial killer community some years back before her blog kept being banned for starting fights with "social justice sally's" as they were once known. She's actually quite a good artist and afaik moved away from the whole serial killer fandom thing. She also went by Matador on 4chan's /x/ and would take creepypasta drawing requests.

What I hate about this is what I hate about so many Tumblrina arguments: starting with a reasonable and decent premise, then immediately taking it to Problems Town. "It's okay and normal if your teeth are naturally a little yellow or snaggly, don't hate yourself for not looking like someone from a whitening-strip ad" is fine, because a lot of people don't have particularly attractive teeth even with good oral hygiene, but taking it to "it's okay not to brush your teeth because of your (probably imagined!) mental illnesses" is soooo not fine, especially coming from someone who also rejects treatment for mental illness. If you lack enough executive function that you're not brushing your teeth or engaging in other basic hygiene tasks, you need help!

Yeah, being a living conduit of viral infections is probably not safe for anyone, autism or not. It's like saying "oh, it's okay if you forget to eat for a few days, it happens to the best of us."
