Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

Lemme give a rough view on the first few tweets:

This one is basically slamming the Red Cross for lining their own pockets by selling the veggies the Shandong farmers donated in the supermarkets.

This one is about a chink wife snitching to her Weibo friends and the police about her husband's high fever. After investigations, it turned out to be a nothingburger leading to the wife getting arrested for 3 days under the charge of creating fake news and reports.

This one is about the hospital being so over capacity that they can't even take in patients in critical condition while the doctors are suffering mad burnout. The guy's cursing and swearing at the poor receptionist in some Wuhan dialect.

This one as per the picture is on the CCP hoarding the N95's for themselves and their cronies while the first responders get diddly shit.

sorry I can't archive this, am on my Chinese new year break w family atm. Will translate more if I have the time.
Here is the video from the 1st post

Here is the video from the 3rd post

Fir some reason I can't archive the other 2 tweets

Almost certainly late but WHO press conference is starting now on Coronavirus.
Edit: OK Not sure when this will start another live channel is saying 11. Fuckin RT.
Here is a CBC stream saying it will start at 11 in case RT is too exceptional. Jeez what a choice.
I know it's not fair but I really hate when videos put a heartwrenching picture over a crisis that is nearly entirely (and in this case might be completely entirely) the result of the victims' own actions. No one is going to put a picture of a bat soup or the inability of China's healthcare infrastructure. Instead it's some cute picture of a woman and a baby.

To piggyback on @Memology 101 's video, there were talks of infected bats back in 2013, for fuck's sake.

So not only it was engineered in Wuhan, this shit was known to be pretty damn dangerous close to 10 years ago, holy fucking shit.

See that extract? it says that they have had reports of infected bats not only in China, but also on Europe and Africa too.

WOW.

Do you guys believe the theory that the virus was man-made as a way for the Chinese government to curb the elderly population,Wuhan had some bio-tech labs, or do you believe the main culprit is just Chinese eating habits?

I find it fishy that the Wuhan Institute of Virology is about 8 miles from the marketplace they say the disease originated from. but at the same time, i cant believe this was done on purpose. Surely there are more quite, cheap and safer ways of curbing the population than this. I mean the utter devastation to their economy this must be wreaking.

Perhaps its an embarrassing accidental leak or breach that they are trying to contain and fix asap so as not to loose face. Like Chernobyl, they will deny the extent of the damage until its irrefutable, then concede the irrefutable facts and deny the rest until they become irrefutable. so on, and so forth... but thats just my speculation.

I just cant believe it was intentional. too much collateral damage.

Well the thing is - as I've posted earlier, talks of infected bats went as far back as 2013, but no one in their right mind thought "eh how about we start eating bat soup!", I'd say that that's where the major fuck-up started.

The recent outbreak is interesting, because it again shows the lack of hygiene as a main culprit for china-born plagues. Sometime soon chinese politicians should learn from this, if they really do work on improving the life of their people. How many more outbreaks do they need? Saving face would mean "doing what they can to improve national hygiene" this time, wouldn't it?

What all this should show is is that these viruses have that deniability about them. Let’s say a sample is found in that lab. The CCP response can be ‘well yes we have been collecting viruses after the SARS a outbreak and this is another one circulating in the wild.’ Without a paper trail or something indisputable in the sequence, how could you prove otherwise? You could suspect it had been altered, but if you’re finding it’s a mix of existing sequences how could you prove it?

It sounds reasonable to keep these questions (man-made vs. accidentally released vs. naturally developed) unanswered for now, because they can't be answered. Much more than bs social media posts about "totally patented by Bill Gates in 2015, they want to cash in on the antivirus, they want to kill the elderly" or what have you. Jumping to conclusions and conspiracies because it's just more satisfying to know the answer already.

It goes further back from that people know vermin like rats and bats are major vectors for disease the black plague being one of the obvious lessons people should have learned from history. It's funny how people who practice eating and living around various creatures who are known for being strong vectors for disease are the most densely populated countries. nature has a funny way of creating balance I guess. In India they lay out m. ilk in temples and pray while rats and mice mingle about around them, and in China they will eat anything that moves which include rats, bats, snakes and insects many which are caught fresh out of the wild and sold the next day.

I wonder if the spread of eating bats started with some Chinese social media craze?
That's kinda what happened - a TV host was eating bat soup back in 2016... think the Chinese version of "Man vs Food".

The CCP forced her to apologize.

problem is that thanks to globalism the rest of the world gets completely fucked by this too, had this happened a couple of centuries ago there wouldn't be a problem it would have spread in a few towns and villages and died down but now that the entire world is connected we fucked ourselves.

132 deaths
110 recovered

54% kill rate so far isn't promising.

(The 6057 infected are "in progress" numbers. They don't drag that kill rate down until they progress to "recovered.")

Also, Australia has apparently confirmed the "contagious before symptoms" thing. Last I heard that was still considered quackery?

we need another Chinese Exclusion Act. What will the chinks do when they are stuck in their own country? Whose innovation and wealth will they steal?

Won't even take a year before the riots drag their country back to the stone age.

They eat Dog Testicles, Raw Bats, and Turtle Asshole Soup. They're already pretty fucking close to the stone age.
