Clinically I'm absolutely inclined to agree with you. See my post in the general tranny discussion thread about how Orap, which is notable for being wonderful for somatic delusions, being effective for somatic delusions about being the opposite sex. Tranny interventions are the bad medicine especially in the deranged cowboy way these interventions are done. But at least in HSTS there's something historically to build on as opposed to the craziness going on today.

Sadly you and I have the benefit of a lot of education that emphasizes critical thinking and young people, who are not known for their critical thinking, are getting a heavy dose of education in social justice and postmodern nonsense in lieu of and quite often (as in the case of "trans women are women") in direct opposition to critical thinking. It's no wonder they're receptive to the cult of transgenderism either in their thinking or in actually pursuing it. The worst is that this is even making inroads in the sciences. Someone like Julia Serrano (a troon) can get a position in the biology at UC Berkeley pushing nonsense like this (which is relatively tame for >her even, but it's also a subject she's not qualified to write on, still gets published. This International Journal of Transgenderism is probably owned by the cult though.)
