Yes yes, I took latin for most of my childhood, I know all about root words.
I grew up in a stupid cult very similar to yours. I have actually spent a lot of time studying history and ancient mythology, not because I believe it, but because it's interesting to see where people and beliefs came from. There is nothing special about ancient people, they didn't know anything that we don't. And in fact, they actually knew a lot less, hence your retarded beliefs about germs being demons and "changing the chemical properties" being a sin or whatever.
I know you think you're really wise but in reality theres nothing special or insightful about your beliefs, you are no different than any of the hundreds of other threads on here who obsess and collect knowledge about Star Wars or My Little Pony or Bratz dolls, your dumb obsession just happens to be ancient religions.
“The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool.” - William Shakespeare
The ancients saw spirits in evwrything because they saw everyone was alive at an invisible level. The ancients knew way in advance that truth. Now we know just how kuch alive the world is even down to molecular and atomic level and beyond. Many ideas dismissed as primitive tuen out to be rooted in fundamental foundational facts. Sure the ancients didnt have the vantage point of modern tecynology but they were very intelligent and wise for what they had and i would venture to say many of the greatest men who lived thousands of years ago were much wiser and knew more about how the world works than you.
They knew just as we discovered in modern times that viruses are "alive" in a sense. They simply called them demons and had a mythology to explain the origin of viruses. When you take history and religion seriously a lot more truths about the past and why people believe what they do can be gleaned.
Changing chemical properties in an actual fundamental way and not merely cooking, was regarded in ancient times as sorcery and i too view the same way. Magic is a misnomer. It doesnt exist. What exists is science and science when abused for unnatural purposes or methods is sorcery in the ancient definition.
And i disagree with your assessment about my "obsession". While i have my priority for religion and history, that intebse level of studying every detail plays out in evwry part of my life. It isnt limited to just that but i can freely utilize it for anything and everything of interest to me. Not just one narrow topic. But life itself and everything encompassing it i focus on intensely just the same.
