It's something like: "English doesn't borrow from other languages so much as chase them down dark alleys and rifle their pockets for loose change."
That's the one I was thinking of, or it's certainly damned close to it.

If Japan went "woke," anime might become like Steven Universe.Trump better hurry the hell up and make Anime real before Japan goes down a dark road.
Lately the Japanese Wikipedia has started having articles on various identity politics topics.
For example, there is now an article on "cultural plagiarism" which was started last September.
For now Japan is still not "woke" - but that could change as Current Year drags on.
When you're trying to argue that the objective measurements we used to quantify our reality are actually in accordance to subjectivity, you're sort of too far gone to save at that point. Or he's just stealthily complaining that the metric system is too hard for him to learn over his introductory chemistry class. In which case it's just multiples of ten, friend. He also describes units of measurement as "pernicious and harmful" when "pernicious" literally means "harmful," proving he's just using big words to sound smart.
And that's the point, there would never be a time in which a guy like Moore would ever be happy with America, whatever America does would always be the wrong thing.
If our society had no social problems at all, the leftists would have to INVENT problems in order to provide themselves with an excuse for making a fuss.
That cynicism is usually coupled with idealism, so they believe that if their ideas are put forth and implemented, the world will be “better”. This is why so many latch onto ideas such as intersectional feminism, communism, socialism, environmentalism and other such beliefs. Idealism in itself isn’t a terrible thing, but couple it with authoritarian behavior and cynicism, and you have people that will perpetually think the world is bad until certain things happen (and if those things happen, and they still aren’t pleased, they’ll move the goalposts). Another issue with people that are both cynics and idealists is the need to nitpick everything (like you mentioned). This is why their movements will ultimately fail. Purity tests are rampant in social justice culture, and they will weed people out that are “problematic”. Eventually, so few people will want to be in these movements headed by social justice, that any decent ideas proposed by the movement originally will be shunned because people are tired of the authoritarian cynical idealists complaining about everything. One thing I've realized about SJWs is they are cynics, they are the kind of person for whom the glass will always be half empty.
It doesn't matter what is going on in America, they would always be unhappy, always wanting to poke holes in anything put in front of them, nothing would ever be good enough.
I first realized that when reading the intro to Michael Moore's 2000 book "Stupid White Men" in a free sample on Amazon, in it Moore goes on and on about how terrible life is for the average person in America circa 2000 and I was like "really?" because I would say life was pretty good in America in 2000.
And that's the point, there would never be a time in which a guy like Moore would ever be happy with America, whatever America does would always be the wrong thing.
And after we take their lunch money, we make them suck our dicks at gunpoint. (like how other languages still call it a "T-shirt")It's something like: "English doesn't borrow from other languages so much as chase them down dark alleys and rifle their pockets for loose change."
MFW the framers were "imperialists."
This is more egotism than idealism. That cynicism is usually coupled with idealism, so they believe that if their ideas are put forth and implemented, the world will be “better”.
Is “staying in lanes” just a cool and hip way of saying “segregation”?
Don't drop acid and tweet.
All it takes is one woke sperg to start implementing changes to make it look like Wokeness is spreading. And it's usually how they start- SJWs are considered an infestation for a reason.Lately the Japanese Wikipedia has started having articles on various identity politics topics.

Probably helps the population tends to be older there anyway so any young voices are pretty much kept on a leash.I keep saying this, but Japan's not going SJW anytime soon. It simply is not going to happen. There's barely any in Japan to begin with - not enough to make any real headway. Your animus are safe.
I've posted this Unabomber quote several times before, but that's because the "woke" keep proving Kaczynski was spot on with it:
We have hit peak liberal arts major.
I agree. Unfortunately a lot of people, regardless of their age or background, are starting to become more and more hostile to people who don't look like them, don't act like them, or even put a toe out of line can invite a negative reaction unfortunately. Even when you didn't intend to do it. Remember the group of white Catholic boys are the March of Life rally for example. Is “staying in lanes” just a cool and hip way of saying “segregation”?
Because that’s honestly what it’s starting to feel like. Imagine being so up your ass about race that you mute someone trying to reach out to someone else going through a struggle.
