Greg coming out with hot takes about how Joker is about mainstream media really trying to gaslight socialism and socialized healthcare. Stupid fuck. I especially like how he absolutely does not understand how education funding works in the US and that not every state bases their education funding on property values or the existence of Robin Hood laws. What I am particularly enraged by is how he fucking straw mans about how socialized medicine only causes lines. The problem with socialized medicine is that you are attempting to distribute a finite amount of resources (time, medical equipment, drugs) to an infinite demand. It works when there is no health crisis and everyone is relatively healthy, but IT SHITS THE BED WHEN AN ACTUAL CRISIS OCCURS. Look at the fucking coronavirus and how bad it is over there in China, which arguably has a far more socialized healthcare system then Canada, and you'll realize why socialized medicine is fucking retarded.
EDIT: Also, China covers basically very little of medical costs through its government insurance and a lot of the costs still end up on the patient's head. Fuck this Canadian fuckstick up the fucking ass, I'm mad as hell that he doesn't even understand basic supply and demand.

Is he actually justifying the violence that takes place in the Joker movie because Arthur didn't have free health care? If so, then is he not proving the media hysteria about the film correct? That the movie could actually make people (and their causes, whatever they are) feel justified about their violent actions?
Is Greg saying that political violence/terrorism is OK when it's about his political stances or causes? Is this what he's implying?
What the fuck is he even trying to say here? He's politicizing the movie just as much as the media has been politicizing it. And not once does he come across as remotely intelligent while doing so.
EDIT: Just to establish, I liked the Joker movie a lot. Not one of my favorites, mind you, but there's a lot to admire about the movie and the tone it went for. Also glad it made over a billion dollars. And Joaquin Phoenix's performance is incredible (though Ledger's Joker remains my favorite).
SNL has really bad jokes more often than not these days. Once in a blue moon, though, they'll make something hilarious. Case in point: Their Joker parody with the Sesame Street characters, "Grouch." That skit was amazing. I guess Greg would watch a parody like that and say that "the media is downplaying the significant impact of the Joker movie to gaslight everyone into thinking that socialism is a joke!111!!11!!!!"
Also, the SNL skit about the "White Male Rage" didn't only reference the Joker. They were essentially just bitching about #OscarsSoWhite because most of the movies that got nominated for shit were white male-led movies. It wasn't even about commentary on the Joker's messages, so Greg's sperging is entirely misplaced. Way to not even understand a half-assed SNL joke.

Our Prime Minstrel even said “You just spend what you want, and the budget will balance itself” in an interview. Alright, maybe it's just my white knight instincts kicking in, but I can't find a whole lot to groan about in this one. People demanding purity of Sanders is stupid and people calling Rogan an alt-right white nationalist are also stupid. Though, this does raise the question I always have for these insane people, which is "what do you think you're going to DO with all the people you claim are racist?" They seem content to ignore them and just bury them whenever they show up, calling for their jobs and their heads on a pike, but when there isn't any major news about them they just go throughout their lives assuming cops are racist, assuming Republicans are racist, assuming rural areas are racist, and they also think that racism is inexcusable and having racist ideas should disqualify you from society. So...I don't know what their game plan is for addressing that issue.
Nothing to do with June's video, though. She's fine. Hope she doesn't catch the Wu Flu.

About my life and the world we are in today we really are in a state of never growing up, me in my early 20 still reading star wars media and watching star wars movies. Something i should have stopped caring about 10 years ago, im i part of the peter pan syndrome?
Have i truly let my life slip away that much? Im i condemned to roam the earth in search of a purpose that i will never find and when i cant find that purpose what will i do? Will i just like, Greg try to fill that hole in my soul with faux corporate cookie cutter media? To not think, not evolve just exist and consume. Will i sitt there when im 35 still exited about the same thing i liked when i was 12?. Will i deny my age and not manup, not have kids even the rest of the world has moved on from plastic crap and childhood stories? Will i instead more aggressively retreat in to belifes i should have let go 10 years ago?Will i never open my eyes to a greater picture, to greater media to avenues i have never explored to real art and real culture! Will i truly become a manchild?
Then i remeber that Greg owns a 7 foot Vader statue and several marvel action figurines and i breath a sigh of relief. No matter how much i like my books, my media and my fantasies i won´t buy cheap plastic crap to prove how much i like something.

It's fine to like and enjoy things well into your adulthood. Hell, I'd say it's even fine to collect some stuff. It's okay to have fun and do things that make you smile every so often. It's entirely another thing to let those hobbies run your life, though. Millennials have allowed these properties and products define themselves as people.
One of Greg's marriages went to shit because his ex could no longer handle him overspending their money on Star Wars crap (among other awful things that he did). And Greg still paints her as the bad guy.
Simon Pegg, several years ago (around the time when the final movie of the Cornetto Trilogy came out), talked about how nerdy hobbies are turning people's brains into absolute, self-indulgent mush. There was a lot of online backlash about what he said, but he was completely right: Adults are allowing these hobbies to take over their lives, their responsibilities, and their personalities.
Millennials (my generation, mind you) are going to be the first generation where they may very well fight with their kids over their action figures. Think about that for a second! God forbid if Greg and June have a kid: "No sweetie, that's your father's Darth Vader toy. Put it down!"
