Some of you think this is Phil finally paying the price for his decade-plus of financial negligence, but in reality it's the last trial on his long road to apotheosis. If he survives this, absolutely nothing will ever be capable of stopping him and he will ascend to godhood. If he doesn't, his spirit is sealed for one thousand eons and will return again to conquer the early neo-Youtube of the cyber-future.

Either way, Phil wins.

That sounds like the plot for baldurs gate 3. Still better than dark alliance

If I read it correct, not only did he claim to not own any electronics, but he also claimed to not owning a cat...... and then lists pet food etc under his expenses for 100/month.... what even is this logic?

I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one not surprised to find out he was eating cat food sandwiches so he could spend everything on collectibles and games

If he thinks he is actually going to get away with lying to the court or the IRS like this, not to mention being this stupid about it, he is going to be in for one hell of a surprise very soon. The IRS will go full on ferengi FCA on his ass

Just a friendly reminder that he has a College degree in Business and Finances. What the fuck did they teach him in College?

To be fair its unwise to assume everyone who teaches is competent. I once had a programming teacher in college who knew nothing about programming, was reading off another teachers notes (incorrectly) and kept claiming 'Dim' stood for 'dimension' when 'teaching' vb.net (its declare in memory). He also half the time forgot to mark assignments and when he did remember he always forgot to actually record said marks, which resulted in half the class failing and dropping out of the program after being told that there was nothing the college could do about the faulty marks because the year was over (they didn't realize what he was doing until like july when people who shouldn't have been able to fail the course did and made an issue of it)

and then there was the 12th grade chemistry teacher, with a supposed PhD in chemistry I might add, that cleared out the entire school because he did a demonstration to a class about lab safety and how to neutralize acids and bases in case there was an accident in the lab. How did he do this 'neutralization' you ask? He thought vinegar was a alkaline substance and poured it into a big jar of hydrochloric acid. Do you know what happens when someone is stupid enough to do that? They create large amounts of chlorine gas. Last time I checked he is still teaching there nearly 20 years later, chemistry at that

The point being, don't assume the the people teaching things to students always know what they are talking about. Not that I expect that to be the case here, he's a scammer and an idiot

So what does everyone think the odds are on phil realizing sooner or later he's balls deep up shit creek and trying to hope in his car and make a run for it out of the country, leading to some kind of OJ style high speed chase down the highway?

maybe his lawyer looked at his business & finance degree and thought "I trust that he knows what he's doing, no need to actually read this" and just signed it.

If she is really that stupid she deserves what she gets for it. Putting her name to his fraud could land her in some serious shit, risking getting disbarred if not some jail time as an accessory to fraud

Nothing happens when you do that and your story is probably bullshit. There are bad teachers, but there are far more bad students - and Phil was definitely a bad student.

No separate thread for analysis at this time but I'd love if we could have one for those type of posts.
  1. Chapter 7 = no more car or condo to my knowledge
  2. Clearly calling his entire condo, income taxes, property taxes, etc as a business expense which is all fraud to my knowledge
  3. Not including PayPal
  4. Claims he owns no electronics
  5. Kat's savings not included

Is there a possibility that this is an incomplete filing with the information currently at hand to get the process started with the intent to amend as the rest is assembled ?

I don't see the court punishing him immediately, they will probably give him a chance to tick the box that says he has a cat and whatever else

idk why he would purposely delay it, it screams of normal dsp behaviour, water on the brain and expecting everyone else to hold his hand and tell him what to do

Holy fucking shit, this almost too much to take in. Information overload at its finest. I’m looking at the documents myself right now but love to see my fellow autists provide the CliffsNotes in the thread already.

A few feelings are swirling inside of me right now:
  1. Vindication for @actually. Your hard work to expose this conman finally paid off brother. Your estimates were fucking spot on and thank you for your diligent work throughout the years.
  2. Confirmation that we’re all sane, rational individuals. I feel that my sanity has been restored in the context of the DSPverse.
  3. Gaslighting is an effective tactic. I consider many of my fellow autists on these forums to be coherent and analytical people. I knew our assumptions were correct but Phil’s constant barrage of denials make you genuinely doubt yourself and constantly question the veracity of your claims.
  4. Poetic justice does exist (to a certain extent). I’ve made the claim numerous times that DSP personifies the maxim that good things happen to bad people all the time; this fraudulent bankruptcy filing might finally be the crucifix that puts him to sleep permanently.
  5. DSP never had credibility but now there’s permanent, undeniable proof. If you still support this guy financially after all this available data has been made public, you deserve to be gimped out of your money.

This is like Christmas come early. I can’t wait for the release of the next episodes which appear that it will be the meeting minutes from his one and only court appearance. I’m waiting with giddy excitement.

Court typically works slowly. I could see a "file something so I can stop paying these fucking bills already and we'll sort the rest of this shit out before the hearing okay" scenario playing out

you know, I'm pretty giddy. it's like watching a monster of the week show, or a spy series. how will phil get out of it this time? he's a roach, so of course he will. it's phil, he always comes out on top. he's a winner, a chad, so it's not a matter of if - it's the how that has me on the edge of my seat.

DETRACTOR BALL Z!

From what I'm reading about this reaffirmation agreement... first, the judge needs to believe that you'll be able to make the payments and it's wise for the debtor to maintain this debt for years in the future without the option of another bankruptcy. Phil should fail there harder than anyone with his horrible financial responsibility and job with zero stability for 5+ years in the future, but then... the whole point of reaffirmation reads to me that your creditors work with you to lower your full payment. Why the fuck should any creditor agree to that for Phil? Especially for the Corolla which Phil has somehow only paid $1150 towards in 3 years. Take the asshole's khando and get your money.

I know! It's great.

What he filed is such absolute bullshit that he should go to prison for it and there's a 99% chance that won't happen so literally even the normal bad things that could happen to him will look like him getting less than he deserves.

The bankruptcy judge and court officials will say to Phil
and Phil will say
and all will be forgiven, and the judge will buy Phil a chocolate milk to drink while he fills out the forms for him.

How can a lawyer put their name on that document with what seem to be so many obvious discrepancies? It feels like I'm missing something. Then again, he only spent $1,200 in legal fees and even for a modest lawyer, that's only about four billable hours.

edit: Long time follower of these Phil threads and first time poster. Just read through the last 20 or so pages of this thread and there is a lot of good information to be had. Hats off to the crack researchers.
