I’ll disagree with everyone who keeps stating he could do better. Gene may not be a circus freak or 450 lbs but he’s certainly not handsome, he has no swag, and he is a washed up alcoholic hobosexual, with no prospects or skills or income. Jen seems like she’s perfectly well matched with him, and you could say she brings more to the relationship if you count room and board (and sheer mass ). I’m sure Gene could get a slim woman who might have a couch or let him share her bed, but she would probably be a leather complexioned chain smoking cluster B lot lizard with a couple violent baby daddies. No female with any degree of stability, sanity, and sex appeal would entertain that man for a second.

I watched one of his videos and he admits before Jen he lived with his dad and admitted he could not hold down a job due to his drinking. After that, someone pointed out she had mostly carbs in her diet, she went full alog and used all of the FA rhetorics: "Well, where were you, when I needed advice and a decent endocrine specialist. Seems you are not concerned about my health, just about your delusions", etc.

Some people showed up and shared stories of their long fight with cancer/stress/insulin resistance and gaining weight because of that. Idk if true, but they seemed to notice that their 1200 kcal per day were not enough to keep slim and declined to make their daily amount less, 'cause it's "making me feel dizzy". Pressing X to doubt, but maybe someone can tell if that's not an excuse.

I don't know why people who live in countries with socialized medicine aren't angry about this. You pay the same amount into the system regardless of whether you're taking care of yourself or you are a 600-lb chain smoker.

That's pretty unfair, in all honesty.

We don't bitch because it's better than the alternative. Sure, some people are getting more use of the medical system I help pay for. There's plenty of people that don't pay into it that get to benefit, such as homeless drug addicts and the perpetually unemployed.

But on the other side, I can walk into a hospital and walk out with medication without ever taking out my bank card. Not being stuck with crippling debt over a broken leg makes the pennies I sock into the medical system feel worth it.
