What is going on in that body bag video? He's counting in the van, but the bags as they are heaped there don't look like they contain bodies. It just looks like crumpled up tarp to me.

That was what i thought at first,but the way they are stacked im pretty sure they arnt empty either and the are layed out rather than crumpled together.Chinamen just be small i guess

Germany evacuated citizens from China (124 passengers), 11 of them were immediately taken to the hospital and 1 case is suspected to be possibly infected.

I agree with you. But again by handling a bat is not the same as eating bat soup. The same thing could happen with a pig. the point I was making is that people are pointing out the action of eating bats as a disgusting habit that caused this virus to spread; but the habit of eating or not eating bats doesn't prevent a virus like this from coming into existence. It's going to happen through bats, birds and swine. Whats important is how we deal with the outbreaks, because trying to prevent them from ever happening is futile.

Exactly how many times have you come in to contact with bats in your daily life? I have twice been less than two meters from them, and seen them perhaps ten or so times from a distance. Why can't you see that by eating bats and thus being in close contact with them all the time you greatly increase the risk of catching diseases from them? I mean, what is so fucking hard to understand in the concept that it's not just the action of eating the bats, but the overall process of catching, handling and selling them at the markets that is the underlying issue here. Bats are found almost everywhere in the world, but in most places they don't end up on the plate. Somehow, perhaps magically, these places also don't have constant outbreaks of viruses found in bats.

The subject had recently traveled from China and shown signs of fever, cough or shortness of breath without another common cause like the flu or other cold viruses. The person is under the age of 40 and has been hospitalized at NYC Health + Hospital at Bellevue.
“An individual with a travel history to China felt unwell and sought help from a medical provider who promptly contacted the Health Department. This is exactly what we prepared for and we thank everyone for taking all the right steps,” said Health Commissioner Dr. Oxiris Barbot. “Reports of the first person being tested in New York City demonstrate that the system is working as intended.”
It will take at least two days to confirm if the subject has the virus.
There are now eight confirmed cases in the United States and over 12,000 worldwide. At least 259 people have died.
For those who feel sick with fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, and traveled to Hubei province China—or been in contact with a confirmed case nCoV— within 14 days of symptom onset, CDC recommends:

• Seek medical care right away. Before going to a doctor’s office or emergency room, call ahead and tell them about recent travel and symptoms.

The government has suspended rail connections with the mainland but Lam has argued against blocking all travel.
Hong Kong’s health care resources “will soon be completely depleted, as an endless stream of non-Hong Kong residents continues to come into the city, seeking for medical care,” a union statement said.
