I ain't gonna lie, for a few seconds I thought the big bald guy was a good friend of mine who lives in Langley that Yaniv was spying on, except that said friend has a goatee and is married .

The completely dark video of him recording his neighbors was nothing, no noises, no image aside from a light near the bottom of the frame that kept moving, hes an idiot and i bet they were watching a movie.
Now the car one is pretty interesting, he claims they were going at it, and dudes hand was somewhere that he didnt want to know, they werent doing anything but talking and the dude actually bends toward her a few times to kiss her, that was it. Hopefully she catches wind of this video and her and her beau decide to throw some kind of charge at Yaniv, he had no business recording, and absolutely no business to say what he did and live stream it on top of that. Wasnt he told not to have the camera in the window in the first place???

Well irl value is strata is voting on banning residents from having surveillance cameras so this couple seeing it makes it a bigger issue. That only really affects me though, I think for KF it's pretty bizzare/funny for someone to post a 20ish minute creeper video of people supposedly doing it, no?

Also, don't worry about the drone. It's a humour website people are going to post funny ideas without being totally serious about it. I'm obviously not flying a music playing drone but it'd be hilarious to watch his reaction.

You can't be kicking someone as they scream for mercy and you MUST be the one who reports the altercation to police, cooperate, etc. But Amy Hamm could have kicked yaniv in the balls and hog tied him in that women's bathroom if he'd approached her.

The law in Canada in terms of self defense is pretty cut and dry.

Self-defence against unprovoked assault
34. (1) Every one who is unlawfully assaulted without having provoked the assault is justified in repelling force by force if the force they use is not intended to cause death or grievous bodily harm and is no more than is necessary to enable him to defend himself.

Extent of justification

(a) they cause it under reasonable apprehension of death or grievous bodily harm from the violence with which the assault was originally made or with which the assailant pursues his purposes; and(b) they believes, on reasonable grounds, that he cannot otherwise preserve himself from death or grievous bodily harm.

35. Every one who has without justification assaulted another but did not commence the assault with intent to cause death or grievous bodily harm, or has without justification provoked an assault on himself by another, may justify the use of force subsequent to the assault if

Yaniv did have that parkade incident last July that led to his being in the ER (of course) for what he said were facial injuries after a confrontation with a 60+ woman. I wonder if there are actually a number of these lurking in RCMP Langley's files.

You quoted the defense laws in Canada from about 20 years ago. Because of issues and ambiguities identified by courts, section 34-37 were completely revamped and rewritten about a decade ago with Bill C-26. Bill C-26 received royal assent around 2012 and came into effect in the first quarter of 2013.
