It'd be better for the conventions to just ignore the KV social media spergs altogether. At least the ISWV spergs actually show up to spend money and support Vic. Who on the KV side screaming all over Twitter are actually coming to any of their conventions? Marzgurl only seems to do one or two conventions a year, Lynn has admitted herself that she's been out of conventions for years, Lauren only seems to show up to one or two comic conventions to shop for harassment/photo-ops, Shane is trying to start a convention because he's so unwelcome at the ones near his area, and the rest are a mix of unemployed or underemployed. For all of the "love and support" Monica and Jamie are claimed to have, it sure isn't bringing the portly, unwashed masses to your shows.
It absolutely would. The thing is, and as I say often, people have to hit their pain threshold. We already see the effect of KV hurting cons and Vic appearances benefiting them. The two best examples to date are, funny enough, mirror opposites.
When Moronica/Kic Vic work their con magic, Vic gets an entire FLOOR to himself, with lines so long that it requires the use of an elevator and extra staff dedicated to managing his line. While this happens, Monica/KV is being stunning and brave at a strip mall comic shop sharing space with a game tourney and at best GENEROUS estimates, around 100 people.
Now contrast the mirror. When Monica/Kick Vic have the ANNOUNCED AND MARKETED convention, they turn out a steady stream of twitter pics with no lines to a handful of people, while Vic over at a strip mall shop and little advance notice/advertising, has OVER 700 people materialize.
This is a war of attrition. Conventions may have woke people on staff, however, 'Get woke go broke" ensures that over time, the money men behind them are going to go with what profits them. Money is not woke and empty tables and guarantee payouts mean bringing in people that make money, not cost the con money. It's simply a matter of the market doing what the market does. Vic just needs to keep at it, which he shows every sign of doing. Monica/KicVic have to go out of pocket bigly on legal bills (Yuge) and aren't making money on appearances. Vic pulls in crowds and their cash, MKV doesn't.
Then consider that conventions are a market segment like any other. They shift with the prevailing winds. Right now, those winds are shifting against woke BS across the spectrum. Movies are losing hundreds of millions a pop, the comics industry is failing hard while the comicsgate guys are into the millions of gross revenue and of course, Brexit/Trump are moves away from PC/Woke politics, which itself is a significant market indicator.
As much as it sucks and we all wish this was over, it's still gonna be a while. The SJWs did not gain their power over cons overnight and they won't have it destroyed overnight. But it WILL be destroyed. Human nature and the laws of economics can only be held back for so long before reality steps in.
