As an aside, I can't help noting how none of this would be on anyone's radar at all if Phil had just kept his fucking mouth shut about money in general. You know, like most professional public-facing personas. He marked himself by constantly bringing up his finances for a decade. Even if you didn't like him, or didn't understand why people gave him money, most likely no one would even bother looking to see if DSP was filing for bankruptcy or was being sued unless through some major coincidence or stalker levels of desperation had he not ever brought up his earnings and losses himself. Perusing through any state's/the federal CM/ECF public court records database (especially since a lot of the states offer the use of theirs at no charge & with no prerequisite to create an account to perform cursory searches, & if you wanna, most do let you go ahead & create a Public Access account for access to certain documents realtime updates, etc. on w/e cases you want.

Moving up from there, if you are an attorney/legal industry professional () you have/have access to an account with a higher access level that actually hyperlinks you to downloadable PDFs of any & all e-filed documents not subject to protective order.

Generally, you can get anything you want on case as far back as circa 2010. (Fun fact: Prosecutors generally have an even higher access level & they can even see most of the docs under P.O./filed under seal.

CM/ECF (federal) charges something like .10-.15 cents per page, & I'd bet it's the same for the states that do charge for them. But a handful of them don't charge at all, most assuredly not at an attorney access level.

Sometimes it takes a little low-effort e-tective work & process of elimination without being a thirsty & overeager rètard, but use your brain & you can learn a lot about whomever landed in these systems. Just by dicking around with the search engines: Your neighbs, that bitch that pulled your hair & never got in trouble for it back in the 2nd grade, your ex, your potential future ex, the cool guy off grindr you're meeting up with next week, your buddies, yourself..

^^^TL;DR: Databases for public access to state/federal court records & the documents contained therein are available, useful, reasonably-priced for doc access (and in some cases, free), potentially informative-as-fuck if you're smart about vetting your search results, and they're funner than an Animal House toga party to cock around in.

Whereas the notorious titty streamers have taken over Twitch to milk sad individuals dry using their titty, DSP pretty much does the same thing, but instead he uses pity.

So I think it's safe to say DSP is the (pen)ultimate... Pity Streamer.

Phil has vocally complained about both. But he calls it a "rogue" mod, pretending like he can't see who did it. As if there's a huge line up of suspects.

Which is odd, because when something is off with the settings, it is the fault of a rogue mod... betraying themselves, I guess, since Phil says the mods are in charge of the settings. Make sense.

Really, this could have been avoided if he didn't pride himself as a "variety streamer" who awkwardly forces himself to try to learn (haha) and play all these games that he may not even like. No time to enjoy anything when you're always racing to the finish line.
If he had just consistently streamed the games he liked, he may be in a better position. Maybe he even could've built up a fanbase to watch him play gacha all day.
