Reagan literally joked about it on an open mic. And the rhetoric about his entire Presidency was it was totally 100% guaranteed if you voted for Reagan, he was going to nuclear war immediately. Didn't happen.

This conversation perfectly encapsulates all the major problems with America's party system. It all boils down to the two major party mudslinging at each other with flimsy reasoning while not actually explaining their positions and why they're right, and most voters remain completely oblivious to the fact that no matter who gets voted into office, it's not going to change a damn thing, because all politicians, regardless of party, are the same lying asshole who just wants a position of power, even though president doesn't even have that much power in the government to begin with!

Ok I just got all caught up on this guy and I think it's safe to say that Ken Penders is essentially Chris if Chris got his shit together and actually made the effort to get into the comics industry, only if Archie told him that they can't publish the sonichu comics because they only have the rights to Sonic and not Pokemon.

So instead of sonichu he reworked what characters he could use and created a character within his rights to be his self insert mouthpiece (Geoffrey at John) and ultimately got the rights to his own shit comic creation and is trying to make money off them despite barley putting effort into getting his new comic published.

Damn even the Sonic comics began tanking as the 90s ended it's probably a good thing Chris (possibly) never read the comics. He had some pretty questionable role models/inspiration in his teen years, but imagine him seeing a kindred spirit in Penders of all people.
