In a lot of ways, it's a problem with a built in solution. They really are taking themselves out of the gene pool. If it wasn't for the other people they hurt, it would be a good thing. But of course, they do hurt people in the process.

Fortunately they are so insular and unintelligent, they don't understand that the jobs they are 'securing for themselves' arent going to be there much longer. Their industry is collapsing - the entertainment/media industry. If they followed the business side at all, they would know that the parent companies are all laying off, cutting back, outsourcing etc. And they arent small moves.

There are more 'voice actors' than there are roles. Only a handful of names that result in sales. Rial/Marchi are not among them.

There are more editors, artists and writers than comics to fill. Only a handful of names that result in sales. Renfamous, Simone, Kwanza and Antos arent among them. DC is in fact in serious danger of closing shop if their latest 'phase' of wokeness fails. Black supermen and Trans wonder women mean thats a certainty.

The properties that the KV/cancel crew are attached to are perpetually low sellers. The titles are often just musical chair games that last 6 issues or less before being canceled and rebooted to even lower sales with the same no-talents on board. In less than 2 years, these people will have no companies to ply their trade. And the very few remaining will be hiring the people whose names sell. The train ride is quite literally ending around Snowflake Central as we speak and every one of them is posting the "It's Fine" meme.

TLDR: Dont look at Marvel or DC or Funi or Rooster Teeth. Look at the shareholder reports ...Of the parent companies.

So let me get this straight: this Interapecies Reviewers is the closest thing to hentai one can find without digging through the internet? And Funimation noped after they found conflict with their moral high ground. Is this them trying to atone for Panty and Stocking or something?

Also, has Funimation only got its seat at the table because they were all “we don’t tolerate harassment toward anybody” when they announced they were cutting ties with Vic? God a lot of Funimation’s shit seems really avoidable....assuming that whoever’s running this lawsuit for them isn’t as KV as the rest.

the company tried to ride the woke train, because they thought this would be trendy and trends give money,
now they're slowly realizing that Anime and Woke don't work together and they can't publish lewd stuff anymore.
The Vic stuff didn't worked out the way they hoped, they're now trapped and can't go back to normal Anime stuff,
without angering the rest of Woke Fans they still have.

Another small convention. Luckily Kitchener isn't a bad city to visit, and you're a few hours away from Montreal for some real entertainment. Most of their guests are cosplayers and many of which have gravity on par with a dwarf planet so you can tell how decent the convention is.

Hopefully the convention has gotten better over the years and learned to treat their volunteers better.

I can give some insight into that joke of a reddit thread, being someone who is actually on the volunteer/staff team.

The person who wrote that thread was a gay-op. There was a self-proclaimed asshole that came to a volunteer meeting to pose as a volunteer. He started up shit in the middle of the meeting, intending to get the con owner in a "gotcha".

He brought up that our convention needed a "better" harassment policy. He and his friends went on to demand that we need to be "proactive" in our harassment policy, and (I'm not kidding) PRE SCREEN attendees who were "high risk" - i.e. white males.

They also suggested that we direct our TEENAGE VOLUNTEERS to intervene in charged situations, and physically restrain/remove people. Without a security license, or training.

Apparently ON-SITE SECURITY was not enough for them. So they walked out of the meeting and the fatneck made a reddit thread about it, his name is Chris Sturgess.

If that wasn't fun enough, the day before the convention - we had our setup at the venue. Chris arrived at the venue and spent NINE HOURS skulking around and standing on the upper level glowering at us as we set up, with a notebook.

We asked security to keep an eye on him, and they stood near him for about 2 hours, at which point he copped attitude with the security officer and demanded his badge number.

At 9pm, City Hall closes and the public has to leave, so he stayed right up until 9pm until he was asked to leave by security stalking us. Then came the first thing in the morning on Saturday, trying to get contact information out of our vendors - who all told him to BTFO.

He then finally sulked away after nobody of his cabal showed up to "protest" the convention.

On Issue is that the Japanese IP-Owning companies are incredibly slow,
usually you would say:
1. Open Dubstudio
2. Snatch IP
3. Stream Dubs
4. Profit
All you need is a halfway decent Streaming Site and a half way decent dubbing studio,
and you would be miles ahead of Funimation. Netflix for example could snatch them,
hell they could even make a Netflix:Anime Subscription for 20 Bucks a month.

The Sad Truth is, that this is not how Japan does business, they will take years to react and when they react,
they will pull the dubs and take another year or two to look for another service.

I used to do business with a Japanese Company, those guys are slower than Ents when it comes to contracts with foreigners.
Years till they sign them and Years till they revoke them.

Like mass layoffs, execs getting arrested for domestic abuse, etc.

If it makes ya feel better, I'm seriously considering buying one of the passes for non attendees if I can afford it.

I will pass along the compliments. That's our media coordinator at work, really not sure how they do it. I'd be roasting chestnuts by now, but will pass along the encouragement. I'm sure they need it.

Basically our marching orders are to ignore, archive and report (to Vic's attorney). We were told that there's no sense in engaging any of them, and rightfully so. When David Wyldstar (who lives near Kitchener, Ontario) is trying to get a group in California up our ass, there's no logic to take a foothold on.

hope so. I think there may be a way to do it without a direct breach. Say a Con rents a facility and the facility claims to be the one with a problem and there's an escape clause in that situation. So hope they are pretty tight contracts.
