Iowa caucus vote totals delayed amid 'inconsistencies'; Trump team suggests contest 'rigged' - Beyond Parody

From Fox News (archive)
--------
The Iowa Democratic Party (IDP) still has not reported official vote totals in the critical Iowa caucuses as of early Tuesday morning, in a largely unexplained and unprecedented delay that has raised questions about the legitimacy of the contest -- and campaign officials are livid, Fox News has learned.

The Trump campaign, meanwhile, openly suggested that the delay meant that the caucuses were being "rigged," and that the embarrassing night proved that the Democratic Party can't be trusted to run Americans' health care and implement sweeping new government programs. Even if a winner is ultimately announced, the chaos and confusion has seemingly erased any hope for the major momentum boost that would normally result.

"We found inconsistencies in the reporting of three sets of results," the IDP said in a statement at 11:30 p.m. ET. "In addition to the tech systems being used to tabulate results, we are also using photos of results and a paper trail to validate that all results match and ensure that we have confidence and accuracy in the numbers we report. This is simply a reporting issue. The app did not go down and this is not a hack or an intrusion. The underlying data and paper trail is sound and will simply take time to further report the results."

Fox News is told that during a call with the campaigns, an IDP representative said the party would be "getting photos of the paper results sent over," but didn't answer any questions and then hung up on all the campaigns, even as frustrated staffers pushed for answers. A campaign staffer told Fox News the brief call was "crazy." A second campaign official told Fox News, “Yes, they did hang up.”

The Biden campaign then wrote to the IDP, complaining about the "considerable flaws" in the caucus reporting process.

"The app that was intended to relay Caucus results to the Party failed; the Party’s back-up telephonic reporting system likewise has failed," the campaign wrote in a letter. "Now, we understand that Caucus Chairs are attempting to — and, in many cases, failing to — report results telephonically to the Party. These acute failures are occurring statewide. We appreciate that you plan to brief the campaigns momentarily on these issues, and we plan to participate. However, we believe that the campaigns deserve full explanations and relevant information regarding the methods of quality control you are employing, and an opportunity to respond, before any official results are released."

About an hour earlier, IDP spokesperson Mandy McClure said in a statement, "The integrity of the results is paramount. We have experienced a delay in the results due to quality checks and the fact that the IDP is reporting out three data sets for the first time. What we know right now is that around 25% of precincts have reported, and early data indicates turnout is on pace for 2016."

Turnout in the 2016 Democratic caucuses in Iowa was 171,109. That was far below the nearly 240,000 that took part in the 2008 Democratic caucuses, when then-Sen. Barack Obama won the contest.

"With every passing minute that there is a delay, we worry that the process will lose credibility," a top Elizabeth Warren aide told CNN.

In a surreal moment shortly before Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar took the stage to thank her supporters -- even as no voting results were available -- a precinct chief was being interviewed on CNN while he was on hold for more than an hour with the IDP to report results. The IDP then hung up on the precinct chief live on-air after he was too slow to respond once they took him off hold.

At least four precincts had to resolve ties in their vote results by flipping a coin during the evening, Fox News has learned.

Speaking at 11:30 p.m. ET, former Vice President Joe Biden said he felt good about the caucus, then remarked, "It's on to New Hampshire! ... We're in this for the long haul."

Taking the microphone ten minutes later, Sanders said that when the results were in, he had a "good feeling we're going to be doing very very well here in Iowa."

For the first time ever, the IDP has previously said it will report three sets of results at the end of the state’s first-in-the-nation caucuses: a tally of caucus-goers’ initial candidate preference; vote totals from the “final alignment” after supporters of lower-ranking candidates were able to make a second choice, and the total number of State Delegate Equivalents each candidate receives. There is no guarantee that all three will show the same winner.

Earlier in the evening, an IDP official told Fox News the party was doing “quality control checks, making sure the numbers are accurate,” adding that “people are still caucusing; we are working to report results soon.”

tl;dr: Results from the Democratic Iowa Caucus are late coming in, DNC is blaming an app and claiming they are currently doing "quality control."

It's like Déjà vu, all over again...!

So yea, Drumpf gets reelected for sure.

You can imagine how the top minds over at /r/sandersforpresident had to say about this... :story:

I have friends and family in Iowa who went to their respective caucuses and Sanders won each one, not by a little but a lot. The DNC could stomach a narrow Sanders win but a resounding win they couldn’t, I would be furious if I was a Sanders supporter. The goal of this app was to rig the caucus by reducing Sanders by giving it to Warren, Buttplug, or hell, even Biden.

This is out and out corruption you’d expect from a banana republic shithole. The Democrats are utter shit at this point and demonstrating why they are undeserving of a victory this November at all levels, not just the Presidency.

As much as I am tickled by bernie's ever growing list of cuckery, if this pattern continues and the democrats keep pulling shit like this to keep him from getting the nomination despite the votes he gets, im guessing he might finally snap and run third party

After all if the dems are doomed either way and he has lost what is definitely his final chance to run for president, finally making a break and trying to once again make third party politics a thing is pretty damn logical, both in trying to majorly reshape politics and in getting the ultimate revenge on the democrats for the next few elections.

Also how fucking delicious would it be if my suggestion of Hillary being parachuted in to replace biden comes true, only for Bernie to knife her in the gut with a third party run that guarantees Trump humiliates her again? Especially if this hypothetical Bern party winds up getting more votes than the democrats under Hillary

Either way, this will be hilarious. Either it's 2016: part 2, or we get to watch BernieBros cry as the average American will look at Uncle Bernie and then vote Trump or stay home.
Honestly im hyped no matter what happens

Trump vs Bernie will be the most emotionally and narratively satisfying clash of right wing populist vs left wing populist. It will be shit halfway worthy of the history books, and even though its the path which promises the highest relative chance for Trump to be defeated its the one my heart wants because it would be the epic political clash of our time

Trump vs Biden would be watching troll vs boomer play out on the highest stage of the fucking planet and promises the most raw comedy of the options since Trump is so very good at pissing people off and Biden is so very easy to piss off enough to say and do embarrasing things.

Trump vs Warren would bring the cringe comedy as Trump unloads all the embarrassing secrets and claims Warren has ever divulged while she tries to sputter some IRL textwall about how nasty and evil he is while simultaneously apologising for her sins and trying to engage in the cringiest woke pandering imaginable on stage

Trump vs Bloomberg would be the wild card that could promise the most crazy ass election in modern history due to how batshit weird his campaign has been thus far and how enigmatic his actual reason for running is

Trump vs Hillary....yeah I dont think I need to say anything here

I will throw my two cents in here:

Burnie may not declare a second party, but his supporters sure could.

It is no secret that his followers are some of the most passionate in the Democrat party.

If he is screwed publicly for the second time, there will be heavy calls for Democratic Socialist Party (or DSP). This idea has already been floating around in the Progressive Democrat circles for a while now.

I don't know, and it is useless to speculate until the race is called.

To be completely honest; if the wanderlust for European far leftism hadn't pushed my previous Democratic affiliation to Centrism, I'd be willing to make an app for free that actually works and has pixelated characters that move, emote, and that you can interact with by touching them and being linked to the candidate websites.

However; the need for "Wokeism" and the "Circle Jerking Inner Circle" bullshit has left an awful taste in my mouth; even by me stating this those same people who have alienated me from my own party would say "LOL U DON'T LIKE YUMMY CUMMIES? BIGOT. CANCELLED. WE DIDN'T NEED YOU ANYWAY."

Either communists or the one thing worse than communists....

Also im calling it now, if the DNC continues against all sanity to keep this fucking farce going in a desperate effort to prevent Uncle Boiney getting the nomination, expect the usual media/activist subjects from the NYT to the SPLC and the ADL to declare that the word "rigged" is alt right berniebro code for "nigged" or some similar calibre bullshit in order to try and kill discussion of how fucking blatant this shit is
If he's going to be the candidate, he's going to be the candidate. Yet they keep trying to deride and deny that he is probably going to get the nomination ahead of Joe Biden. When Trump ran in 2016, Republican higher ups didn't like it, they would rather someone like Cruz get nominated. But when it was clear he was going to be the winner, a lot of them (save the group that put up that glow in the dark, Egg McMuffin up) went "OK, he's our guy, let's go all in on him".

Somehow this doesn't suprise me. It's been so long I don't remember the details, but when they first rolled out Obamacare, there were technical issues with the websites that people could use to sign up, and if I'm remembering correctly the sites didn't work properly. Yeah, regardless of whether they are Democrats or Republicans I always expect shitty results and therefore I prefer as little government interference as possible in all facets of my life. I'll never understand people that want to expand government power.

So, Trump is getting two terms then?

This shit show sort of cements it in my mind.

If people don't think the Dems are incompetent they'll think they're trying to rig stuff.

I do think I know what happened with the app. It doesn't have the feature to count the votes of the dead.
This is a massive scandal, a black eye for the DNC, and a terrible omen for the rest of the campaign season. People are hoping the Dems can pull it together this year but they proved tonight they can't even run a caucus correctly. The rest of this election is purely perfunctory. It's over.

Yesterday Judicial Watch posted data indicating there were 18k more voters registered than voters in Iowa so..yeah..it is rigged.

Edit: For people who haven't checked the 2020 election thread.

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced that eight Iowa counties have more voter registrations than their eligible voting-age population. According to Judicial Watch’s analysis of data released by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) in 2019 and the most recent U.S. Census Bureau’s five-year American Community Survey, eight Iowa counties are on the list of 378 counties nationwide that have more voter registrations than citizens living there who are old enough to vote, i.e., counties where registration rates exceed 100%. These 378 counties combined had about 2.5 million registrations over the 100%-registered mark. In Iowa, there are at least 18,658 “extra names” on the voting rolls in the eight counties at issue.

Under the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA), Judicial Watch sent notice-of-violation letters to 19 large counties in five states (California, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, and Colorado) that it intends to sue unless the jurisdictions take steps to comply with the law and remove ineligible voter registrations. Section 8 of the National Voter Registration Act requires jurisdictions to take reasonable efforts to remove ineligible registrations from its rolls.

The chart below details the eight Iowa counties’ registration rate percentages:

Reg RateTotal Population
Dallas County114.880,864
Johnson County107.9144,425
Lyon County102.511,745
Madison County102.515,720
Poweshiek County102.118,428
Dickinson County100.917,000
Scott County100.8171,493
Warren County100.548,630
In addition to the eight listed above, Polk County, Iowa’s largest, has an unusually high registration rate of 95.9% of total eligible citizen voting-age population.“Dirty voting rolls can mean dirty elections and Iowa need to undertake a serious effort to address its voting rolls,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.Judicial Watch is the national leader in enforcing the National Voters Registration Act, which requires states to take reasonable steps to clean their voting rolls. In 2018, the Supreme Court upheld a massive voter roll clean up that resulted from a Judicial Watch settlement of a federal lawsuit with Ohio.California also settled a similar lawsuit with Judicial Watch that last year began the process of removing up to 1.5 million “inactive” names from Los Angeles County voting rolls. Kentucky also began a cleanup of up to 250,00 names last year after it entered into a consent decree to end another Judicial Watch lawsuit.

--End Article--

Apparently the Iowa Sec of State issued some nonsensical statement to explain everything away except...it didn't do that:

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton made the following statement regarding the Iowa secretary of state misleading Americans and state residents about the accuracy of Iowa’s registration rolls:

It is shameful that the secretary state of Iowa would mislead Iowans and Americans about the accuracy of the state’s registration rolls.

Judicial Watch’s analysis of Iowa’s state registration rolls is based on official voter registration data provided by Iowa to the federal Election Assistance Commission (EAC) for publication in 2019. Data concerning such registrations must be reported to the EAC by law under federal regulation 11 C.F.R. § 9428.7.

Based on this federal data, Judicial Watch found eight counties with registration rates over 100% of the voting age population. The next reliable report on Iowa’s registration rolls won’t occur until after the November election, as the EAC’s next report will be released in 2021.

The Iowa secretary of state’s release of interim voter registration data further confirms our concerns and shows that five of the eight counties we listed are still over 100%. Nearly three dozen counties have a registration rate over 95% of the voter age population, which is extraordinarily high. Our data has proven to be a strong indicator of voter registration issues and a basis for further inquiry. Based on lawsuits alleging the same voter registration issues, Judicial Watch has obtained three statewide settlement agreements, including a consent decree in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 2018 and a settlement with Los Angeles County and the State of California in 2019.

California last year began the process of removing up to 1.5 million “inactive” names from Los Angeles County voter rolls. Kentucky also began a cleanup of up to 150,000 names last year. In 2018, the Supreme Court upheld a voter roll clean up in Ohio that resulted from a Judicial Watch settlement. A federal court ordered the State of Maryland to produce voter list data for its largest county based on the work of Judicial Watch. Our approach has survived federal court scrutiny in four states.

Iowa’s Secretary of State and local officials need to clean up the election rolls and reassure voters that the state’s election process is being administered in compliance with federal law and common sense.

--End of Article--

Yeah, I'm not worried about Russia or China interfering. I'm worried about the DNC that very clearly cheats in every election. I know I bang this drum a lot but they bused people in from out of state to vote against Roy Moore in Alabama where the DNC was also caught playing Russian Bot.(if you want more info).

The elections in Kentucky were very suspect in terms of voters who went straight GOP right up until the gov vote when suddenly poof. Louisiana as well. Florida and Georgia have consistent voting inconsistencies that favor democrats. Yet we are constantly told there is no voter fraud or that it is minuscule therefore unimportant or my personal favorite if it is rigged how are you winning as though incompetence is evidence of absence.

Every story like this that comes out is quickly disappeared by the MSM or played off as debunked conspiracy theory and people are then mocked or depersoned for noting that this happens an awful lot.

Wow there's something about the Shadow team I just can't put my finger on. Who nose? (Edit: looked again, might just be 1 or 2)

Anyway, they should get that 9 year old tranny kid Warren wants to use to help pick her Education secretary to decide the results. Bonus points if they pick Hillary from the mouths of troon babes.
