Good direction makes one hell of a difference for dubs, If Funimation uses shit directors that explains a lot about their dubs quality.

Kara Edward's interview from 2014 confirms what Vic said. The directors were unprofessional. She said that they would take cigarette breaks all the time that would last forever. The argument that Vic was wasting Funimation's time and money by asking for additional takes is funny because, "We worked for so many hours where we did nothing, like we just sat around and talked."

She talked about how things have changed and has asked for additional takes because she wanted it to sound good. Vic was ahead of the curve and these clowns eventually came around. It's like what Chuck said about fans paying for autographs. They thought Vic was crazy and now they're all charging $30 or more.
