Regarding the recent drama of goon Ashley Hutsell Jankowski coming in and flipping out at us, it was polite of her to further prove my theorem that a goon will drop any and all capitalization and punctuation the exact moment they're angry.

For example:

The same could be said of MySpace Tom, he made a fortune despite goons having a short-lived hateboner for MySpace.

Speaking of Bitcoin, I started seriously looking into it when goons were making fun of it, since goons always tend to be wrong about everything, and I made a nice little profit. Not like, crazy amounts of money, but I bought two figures worth and sold at four figures. Thanks, goons, you guys will buy into any Kickstarter ever en masse, but you scoffed at Bitcoin when it was pennies per coin.

Even when Bitcoin values were skyrocketing, some goons went "uhh maybe I should get in on this", while some just kept doubling down and going "HAR HAR YOU'RE ALL DUMBASSES BUTTCOIN IS DUMB YOURE ALL GETTING SCAMMED". That was when it was hitting, like, $1000/coin. I was already long gone when it hit $10k/coin.

When Moot sold out 4chan to Hiro, got a Google job, and appointed in new shittier jannies, people thought he was foolish and had finally lost it. As it turns out, Moot was able to move to Japan and work at Google, 4chan still has some cultural relevance compared to a lot of similar sites from the era, and SomethingAwful is a dying site run by a man who completely fucked up at life.

Well the first rule of investing is to be cautious when a market is doing well and get greedy when things are down.

But to be fair, I prefer if something like Monero were to ever take off because that is more secure that Bitcoin. The whole point of a cryptocurrency is to have a decentralized way to buy and sell stuff while fighting both censorship and ensuring a really private way to make transactions which is something that Satoshi Nakamoto (if they even exist) always wanted cryptocurrency to be and things like Monero do just that.

Anyone remember that goonette (flora isadora? ) who posted about getting blacked out drunk and being raped on three different occasions. The rational people were pointing out that maybe her behaviour had something to do with it. That upset the white knight goons. Then someone bought her the red text “3 strikes you’re out” and all hell broke loose.

I was going to say that I suspected that the stealth bans were all failed impeachment toxxes.

The stealth banning thing takes me back to yet another instance of the admins failing to get rid of a known pedophile for years on end. ShadowCatboy was widely known in the E/N community's "fagoons" thread (later renamed to "fabgoons" so as to not offend anyone) as a creep who liked to PM and hit on underage boys who were questioning their sexuality. He was eventually threadbanned by E/N's then moderator, defectivemonkey. Due to SA's shitty code, goons can't actually be technically blocked from posting in a thread, so the threadban just consisted of a note in his rapsheet that "if you ever post in this or any other gay goon threads again you get a ban+30."

Undeterred, ShadowCatboy pivoted to creeping the gay goons' discord servers, where he continued to prey on minors. Nothing out of the ordinary in terms of faggot behavior, but ShadowCatboy was being a little too open about it for the other faggots' liking. He was repeatedly banned from their discords, only to sneak in again under alt accounts and continue DM'ing and grooming kids, until the faggots started posting warnings about ShadowCatboy's escapades in their E/N thread. Defectivemonkey pushed back against these posts, saying that importing offsite drama wasn't allowed and eventually started probating and banning faggots who complained.

There was a hell of an uproar in response to that. ShadowCatboy was banned, then FactsAreUseless stealth-upgraded the ban to a permaban to appease the faggots. The event became one of the black marks on defectivemonkey's record that led to her later permaban.

If only defectivemonkey was aware that there already existed ample precedent for moderating based on goons' offsite behavior. Years before, a particularly disgusting brony known as Furril had managed to piss off Ozma during one of his brony apologia posting sprees. Ozma retaliated by getting on Reddit and trawling Furril's post history until she found something she could use to paint him as a "pedophile apologist," then permabanned him for that, linking the post in Furril's ban reason. I don't remember the specific post, but given that Furril was a notorious Games brony who was specifically trying to defend R34 images depicting Derpy's genitals, nothing of value was lost.

I just feel like I was wrong for the right reasons. Bitcoins are really stupid, and the concept is very dumb, and there is no reason that their value should have ever went up like it did...




...except for the fact that there is a thriving marketplace to spend your bitcoins on extremely cheap drugs
