I have been very critical of Trump's actions overseas, but to his credit, ISIS is gone and we aren't in any more wars. I would say the military actions were unneeded, but the results are acceptable - good, even. There is very credible reason to suggest his presidency has hampered our relationship and protecting power status on Europe. It remains to be seen if he has accelerated Europe's ambitions to form its own military and break from NATO.

The biggest and best thing to be said about Trump is that he isn't Clinton and didn't start a war. That he was a genuine outsider and proved anyone can be president, if they have enough balls and money. That's why I voted for him and it's why I'm probably voting for him again.

But fuck anyone who says he isn't just treading water. He will be a mostly forgotten president in 50 years.

Normally I would agree with you, but many historians/people who teach history have more overt political agendas now. I can see them finding some excuse to get Obama in there at the very least, assuming the current identity politics paradigms hold in some form in the next 50 years.
