Not sure if it applies where Phil lives, but gifts from direct family totaling under 10k$ are tax exempt (at least that's the case where I live).

iirc Trump raised the upper limit to $30k last year

$4000 Cash
$200 Air Fryer
$30 Air Fryer Recipe Book
$70 Wax Skull
$80 precooked Ham
$80 precooked Turkey
$200+ Exercise Bike
$100+ Cat Tree and Cat Toys

What am I missing? I know theres more.

Financial troubles are one of the top causes of marital problems. I can only imagine what a bankruptcy would do to a relationship. And as you said, khet is only left with his baggage.

She probably thought he was a big-shot when he was flying her out to visit him in his gated community on long weekends, only to learn that not even a year after they get married he's filing for bankruptcy. She probably thought by now she'd be driving a BMW and shopping with her hipster friends in downtown Seattle every weekend. And Phil probably thought she'd be co-oping with him every night, a replacement John Rambo, bringing in those big tips and views. Neither of them got what they wanted it seems.

Here's a woman with no career aspirations, no supposed family aspirations, living with a guy who plays video games for a living and has a gambling addiction that drove him into bankruptcy, and requires that she has no social media presence, and possibly no friends, for fear that she might find out the truth about his behavior or meet someone else. Its no wonder that Phil is clutching on to his WAKhando so tightly, even though letting it go would have saved him so much trouble, because he really has nothing left to impress khet.

I see the bankruptcy saga spiraling into a number of fascinating sub-plots no matter how it goes. Sometimes, giving someone what they want can be the worst thing for them. If Phil skates through and gets Chapter 7 with no repercussions, it'll just lead him into more self-destructive behavior, because he knows he can get away with it. Phil is his own biggest detractor.
I agree with all of this but I'd say Daves obsession to the WAcondo is not about showing off to his horse but more of a deep seeded issue of acceptance. If he loses his house that means everything he has ever accomplished was for nothing.

his entire 12 year legacy would have been for nothing in his eyes. He would have nothing to show for it.

4th place in evo
Lost his first original love
No children to fulfill his "legacy"
No house to show what he accomplished with his legacy
No wealth, its all just debt
Lost placement monetization on his founding content platform

He would have nothing left to show except his twitch account. It would probably mentally rock his Narcissistic Personality Disorder and cause him to become even worse with his behaviors if he lost the house and had to move back in with his parents. To put it in simple terms, DSP would rather have Khet divorce him and leave than give up that castle. Period.

Alternatively, he's fucking lazy and hates moving because it's a giant pain in the ass and rightfully worries about how to find a place that he'll probably need his parents on the exact other side of the country to co-sign for

Let's not get into irresponsible speculation about where exactly to slot Phil in the current DSM revision unless we're actually qualified to do that

Dsp/Elliott Rogers crossover when?

Declawing is inhumane and barbaric, but PeTA was literally founded by a bitch with a fetish for euthanizing animals and wants all domesticated species, including dogs and cats, to go extinct.

Take it from ozzy.

He is a textbook example of someone with NPD:
  • Grandiosity with expectations of superior treatment from other people
  • Continually demeaning, bullying and belittling others
  • Exploiting others to achieve personal gain
  • Lack of empathy for the negative impact they have on the feelings, wishes, and needs of other people
  • Fixation on fantasies of power, success, intelligence, attractiveness, etc.
  • Self-perception of being unique, superior, and associated with high-status people and institutions
  • Need for continual admiration from others
  • Sense of entitlement to special treatment and to obedience from others
  • Intense envy of others, and the belief that others are equally envious of them[7][10]

You know, something just occurred to me.

Living with constant reminders of a huge, unresolvable problem, going through the complete breakdown of long term personal relationships (Leanna, John and Howard), and even positive major life changes such as a marriage are all significant and constant sources of stress. It will be interesting to see if any of Phil's symptoms clear up a bit when the current story arc is concluded

It's possible. Anything is possible certainly, and for his sake, I hope you're right. Sadly, patterns are such that it doesn't seem likely for him. Phil suffers from not just NPD but a myriad of other deep-seated psychological problems that typically require years of therapy to assess and undo. A few I've noticed just in cursory observation are avoidant behavior, pathological lying, superiority complex with possible underlying imposter syndrome and cluster A disorders. The guy is a big bag of mixed nuts.

I could definitely see the combativeness and irritability clearing up somewhat when the stress does.

Although, as with anything Phil related, it's so difficult to know exactly where the truth of things lies. How much of his on camera persona is playing things up because people throw a lot of money at him to behave this way? The refusal to do interviews that aren't basically pre-scripted and constantly backing out of relatively normal human interactions by guesting on other streams that we could see just shuts out the possibility of assessing whether Phil is "on" when he's hunting for whales.

While it's the best possible thing for Leanna, John and Howard to not look back on their time rolling around in the sty, they would probably offer the best insight to what off-camera Phil is like

I've had similar thoughts about that too - how much of Phil is really him on camera? Hard to tell as we have seen video evidence of his meekness in public places. I remember one video of him and Leanna going to some famous burger joint in CT. She was recording and we see Phil lumbering slouched like a lummox and speaking in calmer tones. It's not a far stretch to say he has the DSP persona and then Philip Burnell. Don't read that as a dissociative personality, he's not two people at all. What I think we're talking about is more about comfort levels and social anxiety than anything else. Phil is loud, obnoxious, boisterous, semantical, egotistical, argumentative, and gross when at his most comfortable. Since he controls the vertical and horizontal of his stream's little world in makes sense we see this come out. People like it for his "realness" and unapologetic apathy to the rest of the world. No big shock there. When he's uncomfortable, however, he snaps shut like a turtle. Both sides are still him. Neither of which I believe he is consciously aware of. I could be wrong but patterns are patterns mane.

There's also the whole Pavlovian reward reinforcement thing for what a casual observer sees as reprehensible on camera behavior, and just think about how long, consistently and well-rewarded (financially) this behavior has been.

The most valuable thing to come out of this story arc might be the opportunity to have someone observe Phil off camera if some brave west coast autist decides to try to attend the creditor meeting. Is that open to the public like a hearing, or just the transcript of the proceedings?

There is an entire thread for DSP psych evals, but you don't diagnose someone with a mental illness unless the actions are actually creating a problem for the person and they still won't stop. If you pay someone $50 every time they yell nigger in Walmart they don't have Tourette syndrome, they just hang around shitty people. If you pay someone insane amounts of money to be a dick online for a decade, they aren't insert-mental-illness-here, they just hang around people with bad taste and more money than sense.

Agreed.

That said, Phil has more daddy issues than all the strippers in Vegas.

Wait hold on, we're allowed to go to his court hearing and record it for educational purposes or no? If so, I hope a good samaritan makes the trip over or lives in the area attends
