I doubt that, the entire project started out as a joke. I guess after 10 years of doing the same thing, you just get sick of doing it.

It might not be the full reason, but I don't think it helped.

IIRC, Nick has hinted that TFS was paying Funimation bribe money in exchange for not shutting down their channel, so I can't imagine that going over well with Toei, either.

I'm still puzzled by this fact.
Monica said that her hotel story was part of the investigation, right?
But the investigator ( blanking on her name) said she was only told about the jellybean story, the twins, and kiss from a different VA told by monica.
The story only came to light by monica, which kind of felt like she told that story to get people thinking that's what vic was investigated on.
But once told that story wasn't part of the investigation, noone , besides here on KF and nick, really called her out on it or at least in my perspective

I don't think so, I think it's more to do with how much of a strain it put on their friendship with the other people doing it. Toei has never let up when it comes to DMCAing DBZA into the ground since Japan copyright law is different from North America law so they just keep going after them. They also have a hard time getting into conventions and other projects because of DBZA. I fully expect Toei to get fed up and just sue them into the ground since America's DMCA laws are broken.
