I believe I was there for that one.
That might have been the first year we tried to set up livestreaming for our panels. The story behind that was we had the entire room set up and everything was working fine. Then the first panel that was set to be livestreamed was about to start and the system took a shit.
The con owner is a bigger boomer than Ty Beard when it comes to tech, so he was trying hard to fix the system and getting frustrated. The volunteers that were there kept trying to help by moving things or checking things and were just not helping. So, I guess I can see how someone who just walked in may have seen it that way, but y'know... fuck context.
Don't think he was ever "verbally abusive", and we eventually just said "fuck it" and scrapped the livestreaming element.

It took their fandub more time to make and they couldn't even finish it.
But, hey, it was nice to finally tell their fanbase to stop giving them money cause they are no longer doing the only thing people know them for. I'm sure they appreciate the months of free patreon wellfare.

This is why I stick to Toronto and Scarbourogh when I visit. Mississauga seems to be filled with untrustworthy people. Kitchener is too far out of the way for me to visit when I'm over there so I don't know it too well, Hamilton I only know for it's football team. It's the Chai tea of football teams.

Forged? Come on, this has been covered and dismissed by everyone. Wonder if they tried to match the signatures to see if they were different, or are they claiming Ty signed their names.
They're actually dubbing real anime shows now. It was a nice way to get their foot in the door. It shows dubbing is something where people could start up a competitor to Funimation. Ultimately that's the only way your going to break these people.
