I just had to take a break from the internet during the "Gremlin Propaganda" fiasco, only got interested again with joke Speedruns of people getting banned from his servers. Over two years and the game isn't even 10% done, and he's stalling Osana for more pointless features and to many kill methods to keep count.

In programming even reading a book or following a free online course/tutorial is pretty much formal training. A lot of college courses for programming are outdated and useless, but you can't just if/else your way into a career.

There are so many great programmers that learned through books or even just automatically taking apart other people's code. It's pretty clear yandev actually doesn't have a real passion or interest in programming.

I showed a screenshot of the code to a friend of mine who loves to code. He called it "gross" but also said "if its working for him though then it's not a bad thing to use it." When I showed it to him I started it off with no context. If course I couldn't help but rant a little bit, but I didn't get too into it as my goal was just to see what he thought if just the programming. He did mention it was really weird to him though that he had else if for things that didn't need it.
