I believe that she would try this just to attempt to have some sort of control in her life. Or rather, control over someone else since she has no interest in controlling what she shovels into her face. But there's two reasons that this, like everything else she tries, will fail:

1. Chinny wants an enabler. Enablers for hamplanets usually start packing the pounds themselves. I'm sure Chantal wouldn't be in tears in Peetz put on weight and her viewers shifted their focus to that instead of her ever widening physique.

The difference with Peetz(I think) compared to other enablers(like Becky), is that he has a kind of normal life. He has a job, he has rent to pay, he has a normal relationship with his family, and so on.

What I wonder is if Chantal will be able to put up with some of Peetz cutting comments about her, because as much as she likes him, he KNOWS her. In one of her recent vids, Peetz called her out and said that this was all normal behaviour for her and she had been like this as long as he had known her, and the look on her face was pure despair.

As much of a loser Peetz is, he also seems to tell it how it is(from his perspective that is), his comment about Zach being "ableist" towards Chantal was nonsense, but to me, he has said much more brutal things about her in the past.

It's got to be some deep-seated psychological shit. It sounds like she was the only girl or person in high school that openly associated with him. It seems to me that Chantal has to have someone as a roommate (notice Rina smartly didn't volunteer) in order to secure a lease. In the US, most landlords do a credit check on prospective tenants & you need a W-2 to show your employment/income.

If Canada is anything like this, Chantal is screwed. Also do they ask for a security deposit & first & last like here? Where is she going to get thousands of dollars to move?

I just keep going back to the faked suicide attempt for attention when she was younger. Even if the entire story is made up, the thought of doing it still came from Chantal's own mind.
