The same thing that happened post Reagan, an R politician or two will try to keep the gravy train going only to fuck it up while the opposite party slowly unfucks itself and becomes popular again.
We might see a repeat on how the left lost in 2016: The Boomers and MAGA supporters get too comfortable with their victory that they think they don't need to work to win anymore.

Just like clockwork, you have that one chud trying to capitalize on this by plugging in his book and saying how it will help the cause.
What a vulture.

It doesn't matter, no one is going to buy Pissdad Wilson's latest tome. But it'll be an excuse for CNN and MSNBC to keep having him on as a "sane, responsible Republican". He's one of the more ridiculous public figures of the last few years.

A letter actually published in my local Times shitlib affiliate paper today:
Thank you for the political cartoon depicting House Speaker Nancy Pelosi ripping up President Donald Trump's State of the Union speech and Trump holding a copy of the shredded Constitution as he shouted at her, 'How dare you!' They say a picture is worth a thousand words.

On Thursday, I had a maintenance man come to my home for a quarterly service. As he came in, I was watching the president of the United States hold a press conference at the White House. The maintenance man looked at the TV and asked what I thought. I unloaded on him, stating I thought Trump is absolutely corrupt and that he should have been removed from office. His response, paraphrased, was, 'Well, Joe Biden was the one who bribed Ukraine, and Nancy Pelosi wasted a lot of our taxpayer money when she tore up his State of the Union address.' I told him that I would bet that he watches Fox News. He replied that Fox is all he watches. I am old and slow, but I can still recognize a brick wall when I run into it. I simply told him to go ahead with his service. If I had only had that cartoon, I could have simply showed it to him and saved my breath. Thank you for a great newspaper.

I'm sure there are similar such letters all across the country, but JFC, imagine thinking this is some kind of sick own.

That's certainly a possibility, however 'the media' hasn't really changed since 2016, just as, if not more so, aggressive and anti-american, so i think a lot of Americans will be ready to enter fight mode, whereas as far as the media were concerned in 2016, 'hillary was a sure thing'
it'll be interesting to say the least

Writing fanfiction via newspaper letters was the boomer version of reddit AITA posting.

"I mean, what are they odds this blue collar rube who was servicing me like the elite I am could possibly watch that news channel viewed by millions that I feel personifies everything I dont like in my political opponents? Get this, he said he EXCLUSIVELY watches it. I would have acted surprised but I already knew that because I'm so smart. Anyway he provided me with a service that I am like, so far above doing and retreated back to his cave. What is wrong with these losers?"

TLDR; 500$ for shot that didn't happen, in letter format.

A book on how to save the democrats from themselves? How many pages does it take to say "quit your bullshit"?
No, it's a book of unverified claims about Trump's baby eating tendencies, the book on how the Democrats can win was written by Huxley back in 1932.

So all it took was a beachouse from Hilary last year to shut Sanders up. What do you think their going to give papa socialism this time after the rig is in for Buty. My bet is on a yacht or a house in D.C.

How many “reeee Trump” books have been written in the last four years?
Tons. Most notable is Fear, which is in my uni library.

Which is interesting, to say the least. I see all other books on presidents and they're all neutral, except for Obama's overly positive outlook, but there were a few neutral ones. And then I look at Tramp books, and they're all negative and shit. Life works in rather strange ways, doesn't it?

Did the bus boo at the Faux News watcher too?

I like how against any point made refuting a Democrat narrative, the main retort is "lol you watch too much Fox News". I think the main retort back should be "and you watch too much CNN and MSNBC".

I have seen a few books about Trump in my local Barnes & Nobles that are positive.

To be fair, I imagine many books about presidents that were written during or shortly after they were in office were biased in one way or another.

The worst part of my life was when I started to notice the BUY MY BOOK people on tv. Anytime there's a guest on Fox or whatever, they've always got a book to sell. Always, without fail. And because of that you can immediately discount their opinion, because they aren't here to talk about the issues of the day. They're only there to sell you something. It's like the opposite of the consoomer meme.
