Because Phil is lying. I've had videos of myself taken down on Youtube and it's a simple process. Just provide proof that it's you in the video, and they'll take it down. Phil may not even have to do that considering he's well-known and there's a zillion hours of himself on Youtube.
It's funny you say this. Not to be too armchair psychologist, but every time I think about Phil's behavior, this video from Jim Can't Swim on narcissism pops into my head. He's just incapable of any meaningful introspection to the point where it's probably completely out of his control. He's never going to own up to his own mistakes unless he's somehow convinced to get therapeutic help, which won't happen because he has no real friends who care about his well-being

I think one of the most relevant things in the video related to Phil is the idea that narcissists only have a surface-level understanding of self and are only concerned with other's perceptions. Whenever Phil drones on about his former success it's always through how he thinks other people perceived him ("Wow dood, Phil is the underdog on Youtube and will say and do what he wants and won't change to be like those popular Youtubers and that's why we like him"). All he thinks about is adapting to what he considers is a favorable perception of himself, and it's why I think he has such thin skin and freaks out over being criticized no matter how many times it happens; he's always on edge about the idea of being hated and has to form narratives about himself and others to cope with it. Phil's problem though is that his entire fucking life is documented on film so he can't really bullshit people the way he thinks he can. The contractions in his behavior and the straight up lies he tells in order to "adapt" to a more favorable perception are so obvious to everyone else
I don't know... it's pretty clear Phil was talking about AireaidLord and not this guy. He also sucks up to Soma Julius Cruz in this and lauds him as a great content creator... yeah, no.
I don't know, but he was definitely in Phil's inner circle. The story Phil told about how the kid was busy with a new job/school, and that he suddenly joined with detractor groups (SoK) fits AireaidLord a lot better. Maybe Phil is mixing these two up, who knows.

I like how he now retroactively claims he did the right thing the whole time, dood. He totally ignored the trolls in the beginning but then they kept escalating so he had to start acknowledging them, nothing he could do. I also love how he claims that he was singled out for playing games poorly, and that everyone who ended up in controversy at the time had to do something genuinely awful, but trolls would pick on him for something so innocuous as an exception. As if Retsupurae didn't exist at the time. He also refuses to accept that people didn't shit on him for playing poorly, it's how he handles everything. Fucking Game Grumps were terrible at video games and that didn't stop them from being unanimously loved
Phil doesn't have the ability to see legit fault in himself and that's why he loses his shit when he loses. He loves to gloat and talk shit when he is doing well and the second things go bad he goes apeshit, or at least he used to. There's a reason the wonderwaffle video is so legendary. It shows everything that is wrong with Phil.
This sounds surreal enough to be a lie. Phil sitting down with someone to watch one of his playthroughs sounds like something he'd do with a captive woman, like Plinkett with Episode II, not a thing done as part of a husband and wife spending time together.
